Hi allÂ
Â
I posted about 2 months ago to say i had relapsed for the first time in 3 years and after yesterday i had to take action to make sure this can't happen again.Â
Â
I managed to pay off all my loans and debt that i had added up over about 10 years gambling only to end up worse off in 2 months relapse than i have ever been. To make matters worse I have taken loans out over 4 -5 year in order to pay off my debt that i have incurred due to gambling.Â
Â
Worried about these personal loans and what effect it'll have on any future house moves, applications for re mortgaging etc (some people are saying it won't have a bad affect unless payments are missed)Â

Back to square 1. Day 1Â
Hello @bluespace69,
Thank you for sharing with us your recovery journey here on our GamCare Forum.
It can be tough to accept a relapse and reflect on what may have potentially caused this to happen. Well done for coming into this space again and reaching out for support.
We are here to support you along the way and you can always contact us through to our helpline to speak to one of our advisers for debrief or if you want to access more of a 1 to 1 support through GamCare. The space hopefully will also provide you a space to talk to someone about your journey - space to go through this together with someone. Our helpline is open 24/7 and you can contact us via call on 0808 8020 133 or go through our website and chat to someone.
If you wish to access more peer to peer support then please do join our chatrooms too where you can connect with others going through a similar journey to yourself here: https://community.gamcare.org.uk/chatrooms/ It may also be a great idea to join our money themed chatroom every Wednesdays at 6pm where you may find it beneficial to speak to our Money Guidance Service team who run the chat.
Best wishes,
Brielle
