To all newcomers and those who havent been on the Forum very long - I recommend you seek out the old recovery diaries from a few years ago belonging to ex-gambler Jeff, ANL and Russ1 - truly inspirational.
In my opinion these guys offered unsolicited and unconditional support and assistance based on personal experiences in ways that no current diaries can rival.
They kept it real and were of great benefit to my own recovery and that of many others.
This is a great idea.
I also look at some of the old diaries which only have 1/2 entries by the owner and wonder what happened to them. Can't help to think it was their weak-willed attitude which got them in trouble and they just couldn't be bothered to put in the effort to beat the problem so have just continued losing and moaning about how life has handed them a rough deal etcq
Ah well - concentrating on the successful ones is much better for people.
Hi, have been searching through old diaries and couldnt find them and gave up after page 40. Can you give us an idea what page or time of year the last entry was please.
Hi - I have now located old diaries belonging to ex-gambler Jeff, Russ1, Winningpost and put them on page 1 as at now.
( I also found the diary of ANL which I mentioned but unfortunately he has deleted all of his own entries from it.
Suggest useful to look at diaries of those who these guys were talking to if possible as well as of course many of their very helpful posts were on the diaries of others.
Not easy to find diaries, maybe something Gamcare could look at as an improvement to find a way of searching based on the User name.
