Hi All

I'm a bit of a mess at the moment and just so low, as low as you can get. Hanging in there. I was hoping for some urgent help.

I know this subject has probably been posted/ answered a hundred and one times on here but i just don't have the energy or concentration at the moment to find it, go through all the posts, etc. So my apologies in advance.

I just want to know the following: I have an old iphone 4s and a Macbook Pro. I want to block all gambling sites on both these devices. I just want to know the best software available, the quickest way to do this. I am on my own, don't have any partner or anyone who can enter passwords for me, etc. so this is an exercise i can only do myself. I just want to know the best way to go about this.

I think i remember someone saying a while back that for the iphone you had to sit and enter every single gambling website you could think off. Sounds like a time consuming exercise. I'm not sure i have the focus or concentration at the moment to do this which worry's me.

I also thought about my SMART TV, i guess that's another possible way to get online and gamble. Just wondered if this has been discussed, thought about before.

Thanks in advance for anyones help.

Cheers

brightfuture (i desperately hope for)

Hi A86N

Thanks for your prompt reply. Appreciated. Did you have to enter a password, etc? Did you manage to do all this yourself with no input from anyone else?

Thanks

Welcome to recovery brightfuture 🙂

It may not seem like it now but it is yours for the taking! Yes, you have 15 years of devestation to put behind you & a shed load of money that ain't ever coming back that you need to draw a line under (including that £1000 tennis bet) but with recovery comes self worth & you can't put a price on that!

Concentrate on breaking your Time-Money-Location triangle (as taking away one will remove your ability to gamble) One Day At A Time! I didn't do my damage online but if your devices won't accept the blocking software, get shot of them!

There is loads of great advice within this forum & it's a great place to come when the urges hit!

Time to grab hold of your future, it's your for the taking - ODAAT

hi Brightfuture. I recently read a long post you put on someone elses recovery diary and it was just what I needed to keep me on the right road. Everything you said rang true. But heres to keeping your Recovery Diary name Brightfuture. No reason it cant be. Yep not nice at first as we all have to start somewhere and hardest part for me was letting go of those losses which I have been able to do in this last week. 38 is no age nowadays what with all these career people about. My brother didnt marry until he was forty then had my niece two years later so plenty of future savings, future relationships to be had. keep strong and take care Mary
