I really want to make 2017 a whole year where I don't gamble. My problem is online gambling in secret. I'm absolutely fine if we have a day out, for example, horse racing and know my limits but I have a real problem with online gambling and doing it so no one knows about it.
I'm excited for this year.

In a post a few days ago, I related a conversation I had in the pub when one of the more cocky regulars said that this group would never work; someone would relapse; you'll never get to 100 days.
I wasn't happy with his smug negativity; so I ask this of our group.
For once - just for ONCE - let's stick to this. Words are easy, let's demonstrate ACTIONS.
31 of us, not gambling today. And seeking help (of which there is plenty, on Gamcare and beyond).
For ONCE, let's all stick to this. We are a group with bottle, determination and we are not going to revert to this miserable, sad, meaningless existence.
Yes, life is tough; of course it is. Bl@@dy tough at times. But it's a d**n sight better than the misery of compulsive gambling.
Just for ONCE, let's get beyond the words and demonstrate the actions for 2017. I'm talking to myself, too, by the way - we all share this journey together.
Ultra respect to our group members who have clocked up considerable GF time, by the way - you are demonstrating it CAN done, day by day. Full respect.
Day 1 of 2017; Day 16 of our challenge and no-one buckling; this is our challenge.
Let's stick to it. You - WE - are in control. NO excuses; because there Is NO excuse. Let's see the whites of your eyes and show us all you want life, not a fast-track train to misery.
