Ok so hear it is...
I have recently joined a golf club and have been advised that there is a entry fee of £3 to each medal/competition, obviously the winner will win a cash prize!
I have already raised my concerns with my wife with regards to this, even if it is percieved not to be gambling if I win I will donate all monies received to the "Captains Charity".
[b]I would like your opinion if you believe this is gambling or not?
My focus and intent has always been to remain gamble free to which I have been successful for the past 174 days.

So here's my thoughts........
I think it's vital for us to find a new normality as CG's of which looking after ourselves mentally and physically, so with regards to the golf it fits the bill. re the medal - for your own good, it depends on your approach - if you are paying your £3 in the hope that it brings additional monies and you are looking to stake to win, then it's a no go. However, I already know enough about you to see that this wouldn't be the case - if you approach with a mindset that you are entering for social interaction, for your wellbeing and as a way of supporting your recovery then I'd stand behind you all the way........I certainly wouldn't be revising your days count or anything like that.
Only you know in yourself what the answer is mate - there's a balance to be struck. If you can strike it then I'd say go ahead with my absolute support.
Always behind you mate.

Thanks Mr B.
if you approach with a mindset that you are entering for social interaction, for your wellbeing and as a way of supporting your recovery.
This is exactly what its about for me, no financial gain whatsoever but I will still be donating any prize to charity to eliminate any doubt.
Feel better already.
