Always stopping by for a boost of your positivity. Just been reading back on my post before my recent diary and you was the person who helped me believe that I did not need to gamble anymore and to something about it. Since then I haven’t gambled for 66 days. Thank you and have a good gamble free weekend.
That's brilliant hunni.. 66 days is fabulous. And yes I 2nd that it's Shaun's positivity that has kept me going to. Have a lovely Sunday xx

Hi guys
Feel I am turning a corner in my life, still gamble free and got my 2 stone award at slimming world this day. I started both around the same time and realise now, both for me, go hand in hand (sorry if it’s a little too deep for a Saturday morning).
Excellent to read on onwardsandupwards you are 66 days gamble free, I feel you have your life on track and in control when it comes to gambling. Well done.
Shaun

Hi guys
Start of another week, forget about what has happened in past or what will happen in the future. For now, just concentrate on this week, nothing else, just make this week a gamble free one.
Last night I discovered that in late June a stag week is planned for Vegas, the person getting married is very close to me and I cant get out of it but I won’t entertain that thought just yet - let’s cross that bridge when we get to it.
Shaun
Day 135 and all is well with the world. Cold, wet, snowing and dreary but the good news is no gambling for us today.
Don’t go to Vegas Sean!
I am trying marypoppins to think of a way out of it, let’s face it, what is Vegas all about...........
Exactly, if your mate knows you have a problem just be straight with him! It really isn’t worth putting all your hard work at risk x
Great first and last post Sean. Couldn't agree more. Good luck!

Good Evening Shaun..
I think you need to explain to this friend, about this devil we have inside our heads for gambling.
It's like a 24 hour Casino/Blackpool Arcade. Please get your friend to read that book or this site. It's put the frights in me to even think of going there.
If he's a close friend he will understand. But speak up now.
Day 136 for you.. Brilliant work!
Bella xx
I once worked for a few years on Norwegian chemical tankers. I will never forget the plight of an electrician who paid off his ship in San Francisco and planned to have a week in Vegas before heading home to Norway. He had 5 months wages in his pocket plus his leave pay, all in American dollars
As you will have already guessed, he never made it to Norway and after 5 days he was on the phone to the shipping company begging for another ship. Fortunately it was a large company with a shortage of electricians so within a few days he was back at sea.
On the other hand, I worked for many years with my local council and one of my work colleagues went for a holiday in Vegas every year. He never gambled and always had a great time enjoying the shows.
Which category do you fall under Shaun? I think it would be wise for you to carry out a risk assessment before deciding on whether or not you travel to Vegas. It is however, your choice and whatever you decide upon I hope it works out well for you. We are the masters of our own destiny ....stephen
Hi Shaun, I wasn’t going to comment as you said you was going to wait until you cross that bridge. But soon as you are now discussing it I just wanted say. I have had the pleasure of going to Vegas and to speak freely it was unbelievable and me and my wife always said we would go back. Fast forward to now being a compulsive gambler and on the road to recovery I know for a fact I can never step foot back in that place and that is not just my wife’s words. Even if I went and stayed in a hotel and avoided the casinos (which you can’t as that is where all the good stuff happens shows, restaurants, nightclubs, pool party’s, rides etc....) it’s just impossible and then being on a stag do, in my eyes it’s a recipe for a disaster.
As you have helped inspire so many people on here to see what gambling is ‘a con’ and in the gambling world this the master con of all. As self sufficient said its your choice and only you can make the decision which will be right for you. It’s hard because we don’t want to miss out and can also feel like you’re letting down your friend by not going, when you are not. If he is aware of your problem then he will understand and if he doesn’t then he will understand. If you do decide to not go everyone doesn’t need to now the reason, but only your friend. Going to places like Vegas for a stag do isn’t normally feasible for most people to just jump on, so there is always the option of a home stag do as well which you could suggest and maybe help organise. Just a suggestion.
Anyway thanks the daily nutritional gambling free post.
Take care as always.
Thanks OAU
Hi guys
Thanks all for the messages/advice, really appreciated. The problem I have is there are about 20 of us going, some family and none of them know about my gambling problems and I would like to keep it that way. Without trying to sound too arrogant, I am the main person others come to advice, loans etc, so if I didn’t go there would be a general inquiry and some may not go. However, it is a few months away and am sure between us on here we can come up with a plan.
Anyway on to more important things, TODAY we will not gamble and TODAY we will not question our decision not to gamble.
Stay safe.
Shaun

Yes Shaun,
We will come up with a plan. I can tell you how a migraine works, so you can get out of going to the machines. So it's all guys in guessing, the wives not going. Alot can happen to get you out of the "entertainment".
Right, I'm typing from my new bed. And I have a cooker but I am way to blonde for my own good. I saw a beautiful looking cooker and bought it. Apparently I need a electrician and a gas corgi guy as I've bought Dual fuel. I just assumed that we plugged it at mains. And a corgi registered lad who I know fitted gas.
Anyway.. I still have a migraine and I'm not getting much done in the way of unboxing and putting things in places.
I hope you have a fabulous day tomorrow and the weekend.
Bella xx
Hi guys
Yes all lads Bella, when some lads we get together then there is no stopping them. Only this morning at the gym one of the blokes had just split up from his mrs and he thought it would be ok to show all his mates pics of her nude.......... errrrrrr
Keep strong over the weekend guys.
Shaun
Shaun I think your unnecessarily giving men a bad name there.
It would take a very sad individual to do something like that be it male or female. The person in question is not only spiteful and malicious but is also committing a criminal act.
He should be reported to the gym management and also the police... stephen
