Great work pulling yourself together. You have got to think long term and not for the quick win (which is unlikely in itself!)

Day 26 and its so good to have two days off work in a row, next month I'm pretty much only getting one day off at a time and I'm working a lot of days. Had a few niggles again this morning, I have managed to get over them, the thoughts of a quick win are there, however this never happens, I wouldn't be able to take the money and run and I would lose it all and a lot more. So my aims for today are to stay out of trouble, maybe go for a walk later and just relax. No bets today!

Day 27 and back in work today, not so bad because it keeps me out of trouble! Ten weeks till my holiday, my last two week holiday was when I was 16 before gambling took a grip of my life. Since then I have wasted almost every penny on gambling and deprived myself of a holiday. By the time I get to September 3rd I will have saved more than I ever have in my life towards my trip, I'm getting more and more excited by the day. I absolutely love seeing new places, its criminal that I've deprived myself of this for so long. Anyway need to look forward, there will be plenty more holidays to come if I stick at this recovery. Feeling good today, no bets today.

Day 28 and I wake up on pay day feeling good without any crazy urges! I need to save as much of my wages as possible for my holiday so its safely in the bank and I've no access to my cards. This afternoon I will be safely in work and as the days go by I'm feeling stronger and stronger. Onwards and upwards, no bets today!

Day 29 and another weekend in work, but safely out of trouble! No urges at all and its good to know my money is safely in the bank. I'm off on Monday and Tuedsday and am really looking forward to Wimbledon starting and I will watch as much as I can. I did apply for tickets in the ballot but was unsuccesful. So my plans for today are work and then home to chill and watch some Glastonbury on tv, most importantly no bets today!

Day 30 and my last day in work before two days off. Feeling pretty good this morning, stayed up to watch the England ladies last night and I really enjoyed the game. The passion shown by those girls was something else, they never stopped battling and thoroughly deserved the win. They showed fight that the mens team have never shown and I really believe we will go all the way and win the World Cup! No bets today, day by day the fight goes on!

Hi BA,

Congrats on that month gamble free...agree that the England ladies team have shown more than the U21s did the other week anyway. As an outside observer, it would be interesting to see how many people will be getting on board if England get to lift the trophy.

I didn't watch much Glastonbury this year, I just didn't fancy a lot of the headliners, and didn't really get into it at all.

Day 31 and I'm off work today and tomorrow and will be enjoying two days Wimbledon on tv. As has been the case on my days off I do again have a few urges, something in my head telling me to have one day punting and then when I win leave it again. This never happens so I need to keep fighting the urges. No bets today and hopefully a few Brits winning today and tomorrow!

Well done on 31 days Phil, too right because there is no way we would stop if we win even, enjoy the tennis, I am, and enjoy your days off by winning, by saying simply NO to a self destructing addiction.

Been a really tough morning, I've had to really fight the urges this morning, but I think they have passed now. I do find the days easier when I'm in work. Now that they have passed I'm going to spend the rest of my day off watching the tennis and then go out for a drink tonight. No bets today!
