Yes ade that is when we could afford it and now look at us. We have been forced to take 5 newcastle players by Mike Ashleyand been told they need to play each week no matter what. Its a bloody joke. Right enough of my moaning because i am in a positive mood this morning. 40 days and 40 nights gambling free makes me happy. In my now usual Saturday routine of logging in and checking diaries instead of checking fixtures and odds. Might not be as exciting but it is a hell of a lot cheaper and more satisfying. Have a great weekend everyone

Yes target number 3 reached. Treated me and my wife to a nice pub lunch which was delicious and tasted even better because it was paid from money earned by not gambling. Next target is 60 days. I know that is quite short but i feel this is what works for me and will then set my targets for multiples of twentys. Each 20 acheived will be rewarded with a small token and when reaching 100 s will treat myself to something more extravagant. While typing there i wonder what it would be like to still be going strong in the 1000. I am now setting that as my ultimate goal and when reaching that target will celebrate in the place of my choice.

Thanks Ade Nt Suzanne for the posts. Feeling good today and pretty content with my lot. No gambling urges the last few days and i am enjoying watching the football and my only interest is my fantasy football team. I am in a league with 8 friends and for the first time this year its not for money just pride and i must admit it is just as competitive and enjoyable. Away to watch the footy and enjoy my gambling free life .

Hi Gregg,

Glad to see you're still going strong, no gambling for us in 2015 and beyond. I'm having a bad week on the fantasy footy after captaining Sanchez, thought he'd at least get something against Leister!

Hi Gregg

Thanks for your post mate.

We must be two peas in a pod! I am forever on my kindle at lunchtime reading. It's helped me so much. I have also read Keith gillespies and mersons books too. Eye openers to gambling for sure eh. I kind of agree with you on Kevin bridges book, although I did laugh my head off when he described the fish and chip shop owner (frank the w# nk) and the cab driver incident!!

Keep strong

Ade

P.s: not used to posting on this kindle! Might be the first and last time I do, as I should be reading at lunchtime!

Cheers Suzanne 44 today actually but will not argue over a day lol. Had a couple of stressful issues to deal with today one work related and one family related. Normally i would have dealt with these by burying my head in the sand and going to the bookies . Not today both problems dealt with head on. Not only are the problems resolved it has also cost me no money. Life is so much simpler without having to feed an addiction all the time.

Well 45 days thanks for the posts guys. I am infatuated by numbers so i am going to try and give a meaning or fact for each number of gambling free days. So 45 today is what age i am this year and also half time in a football match. Feeling good today and really enjoying the company on this site . Thursday usually a bad day gambling terms but not today. After work will go and get valentine card and present for wife.
