Morning Buddy,

The job is going well, married life is good right now, and you even get to go out on a Friday night with no gambling worries. 137 days and life has changed big time for you. When things are good and going well we ask ourselves how we managed to lose so much of our lives to gambling.

The addiction is ultra powerful, it's scary actually. For you I would say keep these good times very much in your mind, keep setting those targets, and enjoy life. This way when the challenges come you will have a real solid base from which to beat them.

Have a great Sunday!

Flagg

Hiya ricky. Hope all is well mate. I had a good time on the stag. Played the fruit machines but with my friends money - what i mean is he was playing them and i was only watching but then i started doing the holds and higher/lower on boards etc. But i didnt go halfs with him just played them. I think im still gamble free. If i was at the races and picked a horse for someone and they backed it, id still say i was gamble free.

Im sorry to hijack your diary but im just trying to get some opinion on what ive done and how others feel about it.

Hope you had a good weekend. Not long till the end of the 90 day thread. Sounds like Flaggs gonna do another one after it finishes - will you be joining it?

Hi ricky glad ya jobs going ok and good to hear you'll be on the next challenge ofcourse got to finish this one first.

Appreciate your opinion and pretty much agree. I wanted people's honest opinion not just hear what i wanted to hear so thanks. I'm going with the fact I'm still gamble free mainly because this journey is about the long term and going back to day 1 would finish me off. Obviously if I go out tomorrow and lose £100 I'm back on day 1 and obviously would regret Saturday as that would've been the fuel for it but I think I can deal with Saturday and move in with my recovery. I don't go out with the lads a lot at all now so I'm not going to be in this position a lot so shouldn't be a problem.

Moving on now and going to complete this 90 day challenge and then will really go hard on the next challenge. Want to complete that one with no question marks hanging over it. Thanks again for your comments.

145 days gamble free.

I have been a bit lazy recently with this site I am not getting complacent and I very rarely get any urges anymore but I will always have it all in the back of my mind so if I get any urges I will always remember what gambling did to me.

Work has been very busy and I am putting in a lot of hours but it is all good working towards my plan which is in place at the moment. October is a very busy month for me. And I have so much going on in the next few weeks it is hard to keep up. More things going on then when I was in the Army lol.

I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend I am having a second celebration for my wife's birthday today with the rest of the family should be fun :).

Will try to get back into the habit of posting regularly again.

Kind Regards

Ricky 🙂
