Hi DP

A big thanks for your supportive post DP but more importantly it's great to see you're back...we are all walking this gambling tightrope and sometimes we slip and fall off , but I knew when you were ready you'd be back...well done fella.

I've edged alone this rope for 108 days now DP with no real difficulty..but a few weeks ago i was worried about the up and coming Cheltenham festival, i knew this could be my wobble moment, but thankfully i now feel I will be able to watch it for the spectacle it is (time will tell DP)...stay safe my friend enjoy your rest away from the forum, hope to see you back on this rope soon...the more abstainers on it the steadier it becomes....onwards and upwards..Ginger.

DP i'm just back on here having danced with the devil once again and just read the last couple of pages of your thread.

The fact that you posted on other people's threads shows that somewhere inside you there is hope - you know that coming back here and posting will help you on your journey.

Tomorrow is my Day 1 again - let me know that you are ok mate.

Good Morning Diary

Been away for too long and lost in the slop of gambling, ive had my fill to be honest and time to get my life and head back. Unusually this time i won substantially but i am a quivering wreck and this must not continue. Money gone in the bank and head down time. I am off to Thailand with the family on the 27th April for 3 weeks so this is the perfect time to try and restore some sanity rather than whilst i am there. Many thanks to everyone who has continued to support me and all the fantastic posts.

Dark Place has returned !

Hi DP,

Yes you have been away far too long, and have been missed on here ( by me for one it's good to see you back) those revolving doors did not turn the other way, but they have now, keep them closed now my friend, make the change again, and win for real.

Have a lovely time away and come back very strong in your resolve to abstain and maintain.

I think it is time to come back here and start to fight for my life back. Day 5 today without gambling, i am sick to the back teeth with it.

2 weeks ago i came back from 16 days in thailand with my famiily, had a fabulous time and yet that still was not enough to kick the habit...... i of course wonder if i will ever truly be cured ? probably not, i guess its like having an affliction you just have to live with it and keep it under control.

I wish all my old friends a wonderful weekend and i will be catching up on your diaries soon.

Fella simply prevention is better than seeking a cure, active gambling has terminal results, you cannot change the past, through recovery you actually have an opportunity to decide what you are going to do with the future.

Embrace it, enjoy it

No more coulda,woulda shoulda!!!!!!!!

Abstain and maintain

Duncs stepping forward never back.
