Mask

You say above that the importance is on quitting.

No need to gamble then.

Best wishes

Don't scratch that itch! Try to replace it with something positive/healthy. Maybe go to the shop and get some nice grub to cook up, or find a recipe as a bit of a challenge. A good satisfying meal would be a much Better feeling. Or maybe go to the movies or see if anyone is available to hang out, any situation which distracts, more than a week is a great achievement. Feel good about yourself and stay strong, we're winning everyday we don't gamble 🙂

Thanks for the support. 9 days negotiated, always nice to reach double figures, so looking forward to tomorrow. I'm going to give myself a reward after every week of abstinence. Nothing major, just something to cheer me up. First week reward, a pair of summer shoes.

Hi Mask,

Well done on double figures and keep moving on. Every day counts and the decision you make is as important as on day one!

Don't rush, don't run..just keep the pace up - one day at a time.
You are doing it!

S x

Thanks Sandra. I'm proud to hit double figures. The momentum is now with me. One day at a time and these days will soon add up.

It's a sunny day today so I'm enjoying some time in the garden, relaxing. My stress levels are going down and I am finally beginning to take better care of myself. My recovery is still in its infancy, but it's an encouraging start. I don't want my life to be dictated by a ball and a wheel.

Anyway, 10 days.

10 days!! Wooooooo!!

Amazing achievement and glad you gave yourself some time to relax. Staying vigilant all the time means you need to allow yourself that time in the sunshine. Good work on double figures and keep pointing towards the 2 week goal!

1 day at a time we'll get there 🙂

Hi change,

Thank you. You're right, any time I feel an urge reading the opening post here will surely deter me. Returning to that dark place is out of the question. It's now or never. Time to start living.

Day 11.

For some reason, the debt I have accumulated is making me sick. Like a knot in my stomach having this hidden debt that will take 18 months to clear. I'm worried this mentality will set me back.
