Day 19.

Very tough day yesterday. Friday/Saturday kept myself busy, saw my friends, really enjoyed it.

Yesterday I was alone, hungover, house completely empty, parents away, I had zero blocks in my way of strolling down the bookies and 'cheering myself up', I've backed Dustin Johnson to win the golf about 25 times, really thought about lumping.

Turns out I didn't (probably why he won). I could be richer, but I really thought about the people I had let down recently and chose not to bet, I done housework, washing, cleaning, tidying and some reading, had a really productive day.

Just hope all these small victories can add up to winning the war and theres a decent life at the end of the tunnel, have a good week people !!

Hi Andrew,

That's a great way of putting it. Small victories indeed add up to winning the battle. You can be in charge of your life!

While you've checked in elsewhere on this Forum since your last post, I how you are doing on your journey to recovery.

Stay strong, Andrew, you can do this!

Kind wishes

Gabriele

Andrew

You are richer - richer in the fact that you have peace of mind you lost no money and you are further away from getting into any debt and should be proud that you resisted.. Yes, you may have won that time but next time - highly unlikely. It must be hard and the times on your own are probably the worst but you seem to be doing really well - we are with you all the way and try to confide in those at home as well. It is really good that you are continuing to post on here - I am sure someone will read your post and take some inspiration from it. I am determined that you will overcome!!

Regards

Gam
