Although its only been 40 days, my gambling past seems like a lifetime ago. I really do feel like a different person.

There's no doubt that the best therapy for me has been telling my wife l'm a compulsive gambler. She has been truely amazing. Talking things through with her, and my gamcare councillor have really made things clearer in my mind.

I now have some understanding of the triggers that cause my gambling and have strategies in place to combat the urges. I consider gambling as just part of my past and although I do still have feelings of guilt, shame and regret l am focussed on remaining positive and determined to create a better life for myself and my family.

Running Therapy

10 Days til Half Marathon

181 Days til Marathon

Running is playing a big part in my life whilst recovering from my gambling addiction. There is now just 10 days until the first challenge.

I have set myself a target of 2 hours for the half marathon.

I will let you know how I get on.

Compulsive gambling seems to be progressive in its nature. Hopefully you caught it in time. Well done on your positive steps to change. Keep it up.
