Been skint for two weeks which made it easier to stay gf but could’ve borrowed if didn’t have blocks in place. A budget good idea, something to stick to 🙂 hope your ok? Looking forward to payday got two one my hubbies and one mine on the 7th so two tests but feel absolutely fine, got my head around the wobbles and it still feels so good being gf. Hoping to start saving when paid some debts but one day at a time 🙂 have been skint last two weeks thanks to gambling, it’ll be strange having money still in the bank, strange but good! Hi Lulu, thanks for posting me, my account is under observation so anything I type gets checked before publishing, it is taking up to five hours for anything to get approved and published so I'm really P****d off about it and it has put me off using the forum because what is the point if I can't send my friends immediate words of support if they won't see it for 5 hours!

Payday tomorrow, we've loads of snow so I'm snowed in, I've got no food reserves in either, I might have to get the ski's out!

Actually got a proper big shop for delivery today too I’ve been cutting back on even normal shopping just so I’d have more to gamble with, such a miserable existence! Nothing ever to show for my money plus debt. I really am so much happier gf long may this positiveness continue best of wishes everyone x

Big wobble so come on here, thinking got money what’s a tenner hurt but blocks in place but could still search for a site not excluded from but then there’s K9 but it’s not on my laptop which I rarely use as is very slow but still could but not going to search or anything. Excuse me while I waffle need to get past this wobble and sort my head out! Want my positivity back. Well I know the blocks in place are good enough to stop me, laptop just wouldn’t work right so that’s still a block. Convincing myself of my blocks and yes I feel happier again it’s good enough. I know some folk have said it’ll get easier so that’s cheered me up too! Knew payday would get me wobbling and I was ready for it. I also know they’ll be times when I’m not ready for it but that’s where blocks come in. Funny thing is I felt sick to stomach imagining gambling again but it still didn’t stop my thoughts. Bit down that it’s still got me in its grip but it’ll get easier.

Stay strong Lulu, everyday is a struggle in early days of recovery. I know from experience that things get a lot easier once you get past the 4-5 week mark. I’ve read that chemicals and impulses in the brain fade away once you stop feeding the addiction and I’ve felt this. But I’ve let my guard down at times and allowed relapses to happen. In a sick way each one has strengthened my resolve. Gambling can’t control us anymore, we can’t allow it to. I’ve done things whilst knowing in the back of my mind that it’s going to end badly. I’m getting riled up writing this trying to articulate how much it frustrates me the extent to which this controls so many of us. It’s so strong that it can literally make us behave in a zombie like way where we just throw away everything we’ve worked for. Anyway I’m rambling on a bit so take care and please don’t throw away the progress you’ve made, it’s not worth it. Dusting yourself of again like I am now makes you feel so feeble.

Hi moving forward thank you for your encouragement means a lot yes I definitely relate to that zombie like state that takes over it’s the compulsion isn’t it. I’ve not given in still gf! And it’s going to stay that way really hope you do too best of wishes x

Paid all my bills plus some debts and now looking at clothes lol also getting my hair done, now that’s what our money is for not helping the fat cat casinos buy their nice stuff! With our hard earned money. Feels good:) best of wishes everyone x
