We are all fighting the same battle here. There is plenty of good advice and information to be gained both from the forum and your fellow travellers. I say travellers because I imagine us all together on a road which leads to freedom from this insidious addiction.
It is very difficult but not impossible for a compulsive gambler to live a gamble free life. Sometimes people might be unable to cope with the idea of never gambling again so it is recommended that we focus on "one day at a time."
It is also suggested that we come clean with partners and try to have someone else looking after the finances.
It is also recommended that we exclude ourselves from gambling establishments and put blocks in place to stop us gambling online.
