Found it quite easy this week, but I know the weekend will be super tough, as that is when I'd normally gamble. Will try and keep busy, so I'm not thinking about it.

You can do it! Day 7gf for me so we both decided enough was enough at a similar time. I started at 14 and now 31 and in same boat dread to think how much money would be laid out in front of me what I've wasted.
Time to look forwards and take each day at a time, I went past a High Street slot casino today when going to kids party with daughter. The thoughts are still there and not sure they will disappear the only option is to not just step in there in the first place. Stay strong

Well done on the 7 days sam1987. I'm determined not to relapse. It'll be tough, but I hope to keep positive and stay away from the demon in my head telling me to gamble. Good luck on your journey, let's do this together.

Thanks Dave, check in every couple of days doing that and reading other people's stories keeps it fresh in the mind. One day at a time.
Also if you can try handing your access off money over to someone else

14 days Gf. Really tough yesterday, but proud of myself for staying strong. Cheltenham next week will be my next obstacle.

My issue was with online gambling. I've used GAMSTOP to exclude me from using UK sites. I've done this for the maximum of 5years. I've gambled since I was 16, and I'm now 41. Many thousands lost and enough was enough. I work long hours, so my only trigger is weekends when I'm not working. Keeping busy is massive for me. Not thinking about gambling means I won't gamble.

Very similar Dave, it's keeping the mind busy and focused on other things. I only really Gambled weekends also so limited access to money or I would just keep withdrawing until limit reached

It is difficult Sam, I've had some big wins, but would always give it back, as I just couldn't stop. I'm off work this week due to booking it ages ago with Cheltenham in mind. I plan to do some running and shopping with the misuss. As long as I'm not thinking about gambling then I think, and hope I'll be o.k.
