having lots of dreams about betting lately , this is putting it to the front of my mind i think.

of course in my own dopey way i'd love to have a bet , and convince myself its only to small stakes etc etc etc..... but been there before done too well to muck up now these dreams i think are the gambling demons last ditch effort to get the hook back in . dont get me wrong im not mad i know the gambling demon is not a seperate being its a part of me , but its still there , but the b@stard can f**k off. all the best john.

JW

there are days when it all seems to go pear shaped, and this has the hall marks of it being one of them for you.

you have a couple of choices here

you can give in to the demons, or you can give the demons the boot.

i know which one you want to choose, but sometimes it takes extra step of courage to take you beyond where you are now. I am sure you have got the resources within you to take that step, and i am sure that by the end of today you will see that the strenght adn resolve you have has doubled as you celebrate your victory.

today is a good day, and i am living every moment to my full potential

Hi John, I think you are being very stongwilled. You have been put in positions where it would have been so easy to give in, but you didnt. so i applaud you.

When I first packed up gambling I was put in those situations where I was in an Arcade with friends, for a while I would watch, but soon couldnt resist. Spiralled back down to step one.

But learnt I am not strong enough to be in those situations, so stay well away.

Obviously for you, with family betting it is great you face your demons straight on and not give in,just remind yourself you are stronger than they are and a winner in the end. so way to go. Joy

Well done john ,im new here only on day 9 good to see your doing ok and resisting .I think sometimes we think were going mad but reading posts like yours im starting to realise that its quite normal. As for going for a drink with your mate and hearing about your mates bets, im in a similar position that i think the only mates i have would only go for a drink if it involved gambling in some way so ive had to pretty much give them up aswell at least for a long while yet.Anyway thats probably another topic .Take care Betunfair (billy no mates )HA HA
