day 3 since my relapse, not been tempted to gamble with the small amount of money I have left to last me the rest of the month, have just £10 a day to live on so have to put myself on an austerity budget for the month, so furious with myself I relapsed, I never seem to think I have enough money each month, that with the thril and buzz from gambling led me to this latest relapse on Friday, I am so furious with myself, I have just started CBT for anxiety and my habit of seemingly self destruct, I am sure if I asked my sister for my £7k savings back I would gamble that, (probably on stocks in the aim market). At least I have not had the urge to blow the little amount I have left to last me the month

Hello,

Welcome to the forum. Like myself the urge to gamble is the thrill of getting a lot of money. I am 22 and earn a very good wage, more than most adults in the working world but I always want more. I have come to realise that this isn't the case and any amount of money is never enough. Only 14 days ago i was sitting their with 10k in bgo account which is an extortionate amount of mkney. For me this wasn't enough. I could not understand at the time that this was 4 months work for me and wanted to make more. I ended up losing all that money.

Compulsive gamblers like ourselves can never win because nothing is ever enough. I am 7 days in and feeling brilliant. This time I am determined and reading through other journals really helps.

I pray for you that this time you can get by the demon of gambling and get through it.

Adam, 22
