Well I'm now 51 days gf and I have to say this week I've had a really bad week in my life such an upsetting week family crisis and grief and I have never thought to turn to gambling even though it never leaves your head I having acted on it because I no I've gone so far I can't go back to it because the thoughts of how miserable it made me feel the lows of how guilty I felt to have lost so much money stayed with me a lot longer than any highs I had of winning as they didn't last long so I now feel I've finally cracked it I am so pleased with my self and so much happier and can cope with anything what is thrown at me and do not use gambling to escape any challenges in life

59 days since I last gambled been doing very well found it a lot easier than I thought it would be but today all day I've had the urge to gamble needing the thrill and the excitement it brings but I no the disappointment later and the guilt I feel when I've over spent so I've come on here in stead I no it makes sense  I will be back on here tomorrow for 60 days gf x

well done . nov 13 th my bday,  is one month for me .

that was my first goal , after doing XXX quid in a bl**dy pub

never again £XXX TO LATE btw , but atm  i have taunted my demon , as in i carry cash , walk past bookies etc ... i would not advise that to anybody , but read my posts , I'm using my anger to deal with my addiction . my moment was actually admitting that i had a problem .....

I'm on 65 days gf but I have found the last few days hard was wondering if anyone as a pattern of gambling like me I used to gamble like £1,000 to £1,500 which I could not really afford loose it all over a couple of days promise myself I wouldn't gamble again worry feel sick leave it about 6 weeks without gambling then do the same pattern again and again I've found it easier than I though to get to 65 days gf but I think it's because I would go 6 weeks in between gambling as it took 6 weeks to get the money back up to gamble with but this week I have really struggled but I haven't gambled x

Get a thousand pounds out in cash and go to town, have a nice meal with family, buy them an early Christmas present each and then buy yourself a new tv or something extravegant. That's what a normal person would spend a grand on. We are unfortunately not normal. Hope this is food for thought.

You’ll get there in the end, I know it. You see you’re here talking and opening up about your feelings, so it’s only a matter of time before you’re permanently on the road to recovery.

Well done.. Think midweek is a triggere with lottery fever. Also so many days gf relaxation mode sets in and we start getting logical and confidant.. But really as you say we don't want to get involved in the craziness of it again..

We will never be free of reminders as no more dieters. Smokers or drinkers have to deal with their needs..

But I do find that, well speaking for myself gambling isn't an addiction I easily opened up to. A bit like literacy and numeracy. People will say they are not numerate or very good with numbers but find it difficult to say they cannot read.. Does any if this make sense?

Take care today and hope it goes according to plan
