Day 1.. Gone the full day with out a gamble. Don't feel to good about it as I haven't had funds to even start. Plus I have borrred £10 out my children's money to get petrol. Life sucks atm. Roll on bedtime when I get to dream that life's good again..

Thank you for writing on my diary. I can't say a lot but I know how you feel. They say time heals every wound... So you have to hang in there and be strong for your kids mate. I still have to find something to be strong for...

Having to borrow money is always cr**. I know the feeling.specially when the person you borrow from knows why u have to borrow money.. I feel for you devil, but it's only in our power to stop feeling this way. You should store those feelings deep down and use them to fuel your battle against this addiction.

Take care

Hi 666,

I know exactly how you feel - I too am going to have to borrow to see myself through February. I hate payday loans but see it as a means to an end and as long as I do not gamble my finances can only get better from now on. A debt free future is difficult to see and believe in right now (as things are so bad) but I remind myself that I got myself into this mess over a number of years so it's going to take time and as long as I do not gamble it is absolutely do-able.

You can do this - you can make your future better even if the present is tough.

Keep fighting the fight and you'll always be a winner! x

Hi thanks for the post. Slight correction to what you stated - this site is for people who have gambling problems and want to control them or eradicate them. Gamcare don't specify that you have to want to stop completely, although most people do.

My latest post you referred to wasn't to 'big-up gambling 'as you quoted, it was just reflective of a comparison between my current position of having recovered from my gambling problems and my previous position where I was totally out of control.

Best of luck with your recovery.
