Hey Stephen! No problem 🙂 the dog walking has been a blessing for me, that and the fact that my phone is locked away at work all day that helps a lot. Hope you’ve had a good weekend
So I’ve not gambled however because all my shifts have been cancelled this week I only have £50 left until I get paid on the 28th.
I’ve got enough food to last until Friday so if I spend no money at all this week I can go shopping on Saturday 13th and try and budget to £20 then do the same the following Saturday and that leaves me £10 for petrol and dog food. My shifts at my second job being cancelled is the worst thing because on top of my wages I get tips and meals while I am there so it saves me a bit of money 🙁 also just realised I’ve only bought enough soup for 3 days of lunches at work in my main job but can take leftover dinner the other 2 days hopefully I can stick to this. It’s difficult wandering about the town centre at lunch time for an hour with no money and a rubbish lunch with you but not to worry. Looking forward to it being February x
Hi Lisa, glad you've managed to get a plan in place! It will be February in no time... (This is what I’m thinking!) 8 went for a bit of a cook-a-then this weekend, making use of my slow cooker and mak8ng some stews /soups. Here's to the rest of the month GF.
Hey! I hope you’re right that feb will be here soon lol I actually should have made some stews too. Maybe a good idea for next week 🙂 I converted to an Aldi shopper since I got into debt and it’s been great for saving money. I used to nip into m&s and spend £30 on one nights food and drink haha
Funnily enough, I live out in the country and don’t have much choice, so a trip to Lidl or Aldi is a bit of a godsend! Looking forward to a trip to Sainsbury’s or something in the next few months. Crazy what we’ve done to ourselves...

Ah do you! Id love to live out in the country, love taking my dog out into the middle of nowhere, yeah it is 🙁 I’m feeling good about us both making it to feb with no gambling and not too much stress
Sorry, I have no idea why that came out three times! Yes, it would be good to get to Feb...
Haha I thought my phone was playing up, how are you getting on?
Diary update... still gamble free however I’m not sure if it’s cos I’ve been strong or cos my banks empty - either way it is working and so as soon as I get paid I’m going to pay my monthly bills then the £60 a week I leave myself with to live off of I’m gonna envelope it up into week 1,2,3 and 4 and see how that goes 🙂 After I’ve finished paying all my debt off I’m going to have £600 a month to myself starting August!!! Instead of the £200 odd I have just now, can’t wait to be able to have my wages to myself again I’m so so excited. Also don’t know if I mentioned but I booked a holiday to zante that is £57 a month paid by direct debit (I was going with the thought that atleast a bit of my wages is going to something enjoyable so I wasn’t as depressed about working 60 hours a week for nothing) so my holiday is on the 19th of September and I’m hoping to be debt free and still be gamble free before I go
I forgot to say that the adverts on tv for gambling websites are really really upsetting me just now, they make me feel sick every time they come on and the radio ones I have to turn the station when im driving as I can’t bare to listen to it
Hi Lisa, how are you doing these last few days?
Hey lil! Really good but again not sure if it is because my bank is empty and only have money in my purse, will be taking all my money apart from bill money out my bank when I get paid as either way it is working not having money in the bank, my boyfriend took me to the pub for dinner earlier, we had a voucher for 40% off so although we are trying to save up it cost hardly anything and was really nice 🙂
How are you getting on? I hope you’re well
2 weeks gamble free tomorrow. I went on a 7 mile walk with my boyfriend and dog yesterday, we took a picnic with us and were out most of the day, it was great 🙂 managed to get a shift at work last night so I should make it through the end of the month if I’m careful with my money, thank god. I’m finding it really difficult controlling my emotions about having to work constantly to pay off debt from gambling, wasting the best years of my life so I can work every day and still only just scrape by, I wish I could just say ‘I’m sorry and I’m never do it again’ And it would all be gone. I feel like it’s so unfair, i cry every time I think about it. I coulda spent all those thousands of pounds paying off my car or taking us on holiday or getting a new bathroom, even though it’s my own doing. I tried to write to some lenders and say I never should have been given all those loans but they said it was affordable going on the info i provided. Anyway That’s never gonna happen so better keep on pushing on just now. 6.5 months to go until I’m out of debt. PLEASEEE GO QUICK
Affected by gambling?
