Thanks to everybody for the posts. I'm not sure I could have beaten this addiction (for now..never ever going to be complacent) without this site and the help of you all. I'm in a very good place at the moment. On a personal note my grandad is very Ill. He's been suffering for a few years now. I went to say by goodbyes a couple of nights ago. It was pretty difficult but I'm glad I had the opportunity whilst he is still alive. Thinking of him and everybody on this site. Have a good weekend all. Russ
Russ,
Sorry to hear that your Grandfather is ill. Sending you some heartfelt support this weekend.
Warm regards,

Hi Russ.
I jumped on your diary to get you off triple nelson (333).
Sorry to hear about your Grandad mate.
Hope you have a good weekend.
Hi Russ
So sorry mate to hear about your grandad, my thoughts are with you at what must be a difficult time.
Keep strong mate and many thanks for all your support on my diary..
All the best
Thank you for your messages. My grandad passed away on Friday evening. He was 89 and in a great deal of pain, so it was for the best. I feel sad for me Nan. They have been together for the best part of 65 years. He lived his life to the full and put a great deal back into the community through schools and county sports. I can and have learnt a great deal from him.
As you may have gathered from my 'binge' of posts, I've had a spare hour to catch up with a large number of diaries. Nearly all are making great progress. I know that I bang on and on about this, but I firmly believe that barriers are the key to this addiction. The more the better! Anyway...it's time to move on and do some work and see some potential clients. I will not bet today or tomorrow or ever again. Russ
Sorry to hear about your Grandfathers passing Russ,it sounds like he had a good and happy life though:),glad your well and staying as determined as ever.
Seano.
Hi Russ
First of all, my thoughts are with you following the death of your Grandfather. It sounds from your post like he had suffered a great deal and that his passing came as a reprieve. I hope that your nan is going to be alright. It must be so difficult when you have devoted your whole life to someone.
Thanks again for the supportive words on my diary.
Have a good day and well done for not being thrown off course by all of the personal upheavals going on.
Regards
T+G

Hi Russ.
I'm really sorry to hear about your Grandad passing away. By the sounds of things he led a great life.
Hopefully when we reach 89 we can look back on our gambling years as a distant memory.
I'll accept your challenge by the way and i will aim for 13st by 10th December.
All the best mate.
Hi,
Just been reading your diary, so sorry to hear about your grandad but at least he is no longer in pain and suffering. I am sure your nan has great support around her and many happy memories.
Take care x
Just adding my sympathies for your loss Russ...shows how popular you are on the diaries mate ...I like your barriers posts mate. .keep it going we can do this ...
Hey Russ,
Sorry to hear about your grandfather, he sounds like a great man, and something to live up to. I appreciate your post on my diary earlier, getting my own barriers in place is what I've done today, putting more barriers in beyond the ones already there.
Ryan
Hi Russ
So sorry mate to hear about your Grandfather passing away, 65 years together with your Nan wow, Sincere condolences to you and all your family..
Your comments about "barriers" being the key to this i think is spot on..I'm a clear cut example of thinking i could just stop without any other help..How wrong was i ..Now though after putting as many blocks into place as i can i feel much more positive in getting my life back on track..
Love the positivity in the last line of your last post.."I will not bet today or tomorrow or EVER AGAIN"
Takecare mate, Keep strong....
