Dilemma

interesting post russ....i notice you have no debt....surely a massive plus for your recovery....as someone heavily involved by my own stupidity i think being in debt adds pressure to gamble as many look for that big win to dig us out of that deep hole we found ourselves in..even banks furthering cards doesnt help as they know we are vulnerable...as you know it never works....keep going mate,we can do this 🙂

Thank you for your post I had almost forgotten how wonderful people are on this site. How selfish it is that I only return to this site when things go wrong, I suppose whilst I spoend my time caring for others in my work, this addiction is purely a selfish addiction and I probably come to this site for selfish reasons.......how sad.

Anyway good to see that you are still going strong, I hope to continue to post but the day to day can make this tough.

I wonder how many new years resolutions will be to quit gambling. It has been mine for the past 10 years. Maybe at last i can stick to it,

Well, I've been catching up on a few diaries as I was up at 6 with the little girl. It was freezing this morning at minus 14! I had a skinful on Saturday night which resulted in a difficult day yesterday. I very nearly had an argument with my wife on the Saturday afternoon...before I headed out. She asked me if I would be dancing on the night out (not a pretty site for the record), I immediately went on the defensive thinking she was suggesting that I may dance with the ladies (also, not a chance of that happening!). She was only asking as she thought it would be funny seeing a group of thirty somethings all dancing in a circle! Luckily I managed to reel the situation back in. So the trust issue is still a wee problem but I am only 9 months down the world. A very short frame of time after a lifetime of gambling.

Good to see you're still on the bandwagon, and still not gambling. I have gambling dreams occasionally as well, but I usually find I'm not winning, or if I'm winning I can't collect the winnings.

Rather you than me being up at 6am though, I'm happy enough cruising out of bed three or four hours later!

why did you pack in gambling with predictions like that.Just joking kid.You know that if you had bet on it Cahill would probably been sent off lol.Still one mans heartache is another mans joy eh.Could be a good kickstart to evertons season .I actually hope so they need to be up at the top its good for football.Good to see things going well for you russ .i suppose Everton will be doing the double over us yet again this season.All the best Jeff.

Hi Russ,thanks for the kind words on my diary,i'm glad i make a bit of sense to your wife on occasion:),....i hope you and the family have a cracking christmas,and you can scoff as much as you like now your doing these 1000 calorie burning runs:),reminds me of about 5 years ago when i used a gym,typical addictive person i had to burn 800 cals everytime i went,ended up

making myself ill with a ridiculous bmi of 14%,........i'm at a steady bmi of 23% now.
