If you're curious about a possible role for medication to support your recovery, please discuss that with your GP, especially if you have mood or psychological problems that are hampering your ability to stabilise your recovery from problem gambling. Usually recovery from problem gambling is supported with talking therapies, motivational support and peer support, but if you also have additional issues like clinical depression, then there could possibly be a role for medication to help you stabilise your mood if your doctor thinks that would benefit your mental wellbeing. Usually people would also use some form of counselling or psychotherapy, to support their recovery from problem gambling, so that is worth discussing with your doctor too.
