Hi Suzy

well done for having another go and getting two months under your belt. I too have recently returned here, after being gamble free for just over two and a half years! Things were so good and everything in my life at that time was nicely under control and peaceful. I am back to gain some peace and harmony in my life once more.

Take care and look after yourself.

our Lady.

Day 70, that's 10 weeks gamble free. No interest in gambling ever again but not complacent. I know that one gamble leads to another and it spirals out of control so quickly. Keeping everything "on the level" is a healthier way to live. When we go back to gambling after abstaining for a long period, we are cautious for a short period with controlled bets & kid ourselves that we are cured. Then we go crazy making up for lost time and it is harder to stop. We are out of control. We have to take back control by staying away from all situations that tempt us back. All the stories on here show how content people are when they break away from mindless slot machines. Let's find the strength deep within ourselves and with the help of the diaries to do this one small step at a time. Suzy x

Head full of gambling thoughts today. Why is it that when I watch Horse racing and pick a selection, it always wins? No money on it of course. But then I start calculating how much I would have won. It stays in my head. Do I never watch a horse race again? Very difficult weekend and I hope we all get through it x

Hi Suzy.

Just wanted to say a huge well done and congratulations on getting past 100 days! Fantastic effort, especially when those urges are still "pecking your head"! You just continue to tell them to "trot on"

Take care and remain strong and positive.
