Day 81

Thanks for all your messages of support on my diary

Very quiet day today nothing really to report no thoughts of gambling at all. Aware there are games on tonight but have little to no interest in even looking at fixtures.

Hey where was my invite to the pool? I thought I was coming in as a ringer 😉

Great going on 82 days & your continued resistance to complacency...It's great to see you're not suffering every day!

Day 83.

Hey ODAAT thanks for your post and continued support and haha your welcome anytime cudnt have done any worse than us lot last night were 7-1 down won last 2 to make it a respectable 7-3 but we were up against the team top and unbeaten and unfortunately the likely final opponent if we make it. The semi finals will not be played until 22nd feb and 1st March at neutral venue.

At least a late comeback from the Reds sent me home happy.

Day off today nice dinner out with my girlfriend and grandma so enjoyed that. My girlfriend and daughter have gone off to dancing and I'm gonna settle down and watch the premier league darts betfree for the first time and looking forward to it not even a little bit tempted which is weird as never thought it was possible to enjoy sport without a bet but it feels great won't be agonising over every dart I'm starting to realise betting on the outcome was actually ruining the enjoyment for me.

Sugar, I cheated you out of a day, soz! Congrats on 83 days of winning 🙂

Really, you could have done worse...I'd have had to get sent off for hand ball if you wanted me to sink any 😉

It so lovely to see my new friends living their lives again - ODAAT

Day 84

Not the best start to my day today went out this morning and found my taxi door slightly ajar went inside and my sat nav and cash bag containing prob 40-50 quid had been taken. No sign of any damage so no idea how they got in unless I didn't lock it properly. I know I should remove cash bag every nite so I guess lesson learnt there no real point in ringing police as no damage and probably thousands of people's prints in the car. Will only end up costing more in lost time.

This would of been enough to send me off to bookies to get my money and a new sat nav in the past not now though as that will only compound the misery.

Anyways enjoyed the bet free premier league darts 2 of my favs won other got a draw so not a bad start.

🙁 That sucks man!

So impressed it didn't set you back though! You must learn from this...Don't leave anything of value in vehicles! When you buy a new Sat Nav get one you can take out easily - I assume they exist?

Wishing you a couple of airport runs today! Stay strong - ODAAT

Thanks ODAAT and Suzanne for your messages and support means so much.

Putting things into prospective and thinking how angry and upset I am about losing 50 quid and a 10 year old sat nav but lost 3800 quid last year that's just online tht I cud check plus whatever passed hands at the bookies and I didn't care as much about that.

I'm seeing the value of money a lot more now, I'm not struggling on a daily basis and am starting to see the benefits.

They're thieving s**m pure and simple Taximan, I agree with ODAAT and Suzanne just wipe your face and walk away.

I used to chase in situations like that but not no more, I'm self employed too and sometimes I would have a day off then the following day try to win previous days money and end up loosing the whole weeks, ( what a pillock)

I believe what goes around comes around so good things are coming your way fella.

keep winning by abstaining...onwards and upwards Ginger.

Thanks ginger for you post and support .

Maybe been a bit of a development the local police have posted on there social network page that 3 people have been arrested on suspicion of burglary about a mile away from mine in the early hours and a sat nav has been found dumped nearby trying to locate the owner.

Have made contact with police and I'm awaiting a response so may get the sat nav back at least but more importantly they may have picked up the culprits.

Sorry to read of your misfortune taxi man,I hope it gets resolved.

Bad experiences in the past always seem to coincide with bad luck at the bookies.
Thinking bout it,when wasnt there bad luck in the bookies!

Keep winning taxi man;im still 1 week behind you,the big 100 soon.

All the best trigger

Thanks trigger for your post and support and well done staying on my tail.

Well been to the local police station tonight and the sat nav wasn't mine never mind was probably due an upgrade anyway so they've clearly had quite a few off. He did mention the arrests so hopefully they nail em.

Had 2 cousins decide to have a scrap in the back of my cab this afternoon as they say it comes in threes dread to think what's coming next.

Day 85 no urges today for probably the 1st Saturday I just don't want too.

Glad to have seen the back of yesterday not the best day all round different day today tho.

My team are away today not even sure who against to be honest seeing as I don't look at fixtures anymore and they are pretty much slap bang mid table no danger either way. Home on Tuesday and next Saturday so will go n watch em then.

Working til the Derby tonight will have a break to watch that then carry on for the night.

Have a good weekend everyone
