Look forward to hearing about the further plans for your ceremony. One thing for certain i know you Will have a meaningful one and through that a fantastic one!!

Sarah and i Will have been married ten years this d day. And in October we went on our first date 21 years ago. The day i knew i had found my soulmate.

Counting down the days to the 8 month gamble free milestone, next target is the big 12months going to stretch myself a bit.

Mood has improved a little but seemed to have lost my mojo slightly, i know its the january blues and hope it passes soon.

I have an operation coming up on the 29th but need to go and have an ECG and some bloods done prior to my operation because ive been having some palpiatations and had a heart mumour when i was born, bit nervous about the opp but its something ive put off for to long and i made a commitment to myself that i would start to look after ME more.

Back off to the sick bay. feeling cr** still.

Thanks for the post I must admit to feeling a little low this past few days. Sorry to hear you are poorly I was concerned having a flick round the diaries this was a Gamcare bug which we can only pick up on here.

Lots to look forward to for you though my friend and I think your plans already sound amazing for the big wedding day :). As always onwards and upwards for us one day at a time.

Keep Sneezing, Keep Smiling,

Flagg

5 days from the 8 month gamble free target and looking good on the none gambling front.

Fiance is on his way back from london and braving the motorways which are surprisingly quite for a friday.

Mood is changable, have this sense of forboading and im not sure what it is, Been haveing some life changing thoughts over the past few days, changing job, moving house , i think its just my way of trying to create some excitement in my life, After the past few weeks it feels like ive been walking on air, a nice holiday, a proposal and some sunshine and everything seems just grey now.

Im hopeing mood will life once the love of my life is here, but i seriously need to get a grip and accept that life isnt all fast paced and action packed and be a bit more thankfull and gratefull for what i have.

hey hun...

Understand how ya feel....its hard to sustain the high after being on a roll a few weeks..

Think of it less as a come down but more of a levelling off to regroup energies cos if you are on full licks and too high for too long you will get exhausted...plus..theres a planning to do....

This year you will need to conserve your energy and keep on a level 6?...as your cyberwedding planner lol i shall be that voice of 6 ..lol..seriously hun ..cherish these limbo moments as you are gonna be longing for them in a few months time...

factor in some girlie time with your pals and have some little treats to look forward to...hair dooo time????.Makeover time?..come and help me sort our valentines promo..lol...

hugs and snowballs....@@@@@@@@ throwing ya some from up't road....

ps....I think you and the Rock may need to come in for a pre wedding Aromatherapy Massage on your way to putting your wedding list in at Kendals..lol

pps...if you want an adrenaline rush..I can post you my bank statements...lol xx jus kiddin xxxx

Hi Blondie

Think we've all got a wee touch of the Jan blues atm. I agree with Rach- sometimes a "level" is what we need to recover from the extreme highs or lows we experience in life.

Have a great weekend with your family and your Mr to be.

Take care

Irene

hey Blondie...

just checking in but guessing you are snuggled up right now...

hope you feel less anxious today...was thinking roads are pretty clear but down south worse but guessing you're man got to you ok...

Was just going to add to your previous post the word "trust "....

This is your time hun and the feelings of foreboding you have had are most likely that you think its been so perfect that now somethings gonna go wrong?...well...its not...

You're out of your dark times and well deserving of a good future just TRUST as from here on in....aas i used to say to Shiny...The futurs so bright...you gotta wear shades...

The bad times are behind you Blondie.

hugs

R and D xx

blondie.

The january blues my dear friend.

that would be my diagnosis. not that i am a doc lol.

funny I just posted on SA's thread that the comulsive gamblers way seems to be a trait alot of us share.

TO GO GUNG HO or dont go at all.

Well here is some advice, pull into the gamcare service station, put your feet up for a while, enjoy one of our delicious Gamble free shakes and take a breathe.

My dear friend look at what you have achieved in the last month or so, no the last eight months.

TAKE A BOW!!!

Be proud very proud.

And most of all please enjoy recovery.

You earnt every minute of it.

Big changes upset the routine and increase the desire to gamble as a release, I find. It would be the same for ex-drinkers or ex-smokers with booze and f**s. It might be helpful to downscale your expectations - stop thinking about months and years and concentrate on getting to the end of the week (or day).

Anyway, 8 months is a fantastic achievement.

Thank you all for your support , wisdom and kick up the a**e. 3 days from my 8 month target but I will celebrate that when I get there. Off to oxford tomorrow for 2 days management training so an early start for me, not looking forward to it but normally they turn out ok. Had a nice weekend did loads of cooking yesterday and mum came round then we all sat down and ate the spoils. Still the odd feeling of anxiety but I am just going with it. The order of the day is sunday papers and a nice long doggy walk later. Take care all blondie xx

Hi Blondie,

Not sure if I will make any sense, but, I am at a loss for words right now, as I am all caught up in my own grief. I want you to know that I am thinking about you and sending you strength and support. Let me echo Rach's post and remind you that the darkness is behind you!! You are an amazing lady who deserves every single bit of happiness coming her way. Every single bit of it!! -joanxxxxx
