Hi guys!well I've just made the rent payment 8 days late!but it's done and I'm sooooo releaved! So here's what happened panicked tryed to get yet another payday loan thought I got accepted last minute declined thought my heart was going to rip through my chest!the sick feeling kept crying all over the place then I pulled myself together I borrowed another ВЈ250 from my isa and worked and added the rest I was actually ВЈ375 short instead of ВЈ300 in the end as a direct debit came out!not really happy about taking this money from my savings as it feels like I'm stealing so I need to resave the cash up glad I have opted for paperless statements this can't happen next month!I need to prioritise my debts better and now I've paid it I'm glad I didn't go down the borrowing more cash route!on the downside I haven't paid my 3 credit cards going to have to work very hard this month to get everything paid!I also need to set up payment plans on two of the loans something I will do tomorrow each month will get a little better I know also this week my car insurance and car tax bounced I also need to pay TV license and water up to date but the biggy this week is my council tax which is ВЈ249 I can't get it lower I've tried they weren't having it at all so I'm on a 3 month plan fortunately next week coinsides with child benefit so I have to find ВЈ112 other things are my phone bill which hasn't been paid also forgot to mention I'm ВЈ95 and £170 over my overdraft on two account's I may need to call them but that can wait until the other stuff is sorted I hope I have a busy month then all of this can get sorted!when I think about it all its very overwhelming!x

Hi dizzy, I feel your pain, I lived this life for a year or more, every month worrying about making ends meet. Have you thought about contacting Payplan or Stepchange? I can honestly say it saved my sanity the day I called Payplan. I had debts coming out of my ears, 2 credit cards, 2 loans (plus countless payday loans), like you owed on my council tax too. I had a Next and an Argos card too, both maxed out. How I survived the stress I'll never know but I'm here to tell the tale, and am in a good head space now. When I get paid it's just payday, not worry, worry, worry. Honestly Dizzy, I can't recommend them enough. My credit file will be stuffed for another 3 1/2 years, (been in my iva almost 18 months), but it was stuffed anyway. I know some people on here say it's not about the money, but that's all well and good to say if you're not living through hell every month wondering what on earth you're going to do to keep the wolves from the door. Hope you manage to get things sorted, have a think about contacting them at least. x

Well done dizzy...great news..
If it was me...I think id not worry about the credit cards for a bit...concentrate of the priority ones
Council tax
Insurance
Car tax
The ones that can have an immediate ...or fairly quick impact on your daily life if you don't pay them....but that's just my thoughts...
I know you've said you don't want to tell hubby about your adduction because of his illness....well i said exactly the same....my hubby had been battling cancer....major surgery....chemo...radiotherapy...the whole works. ...and like you I didn't want him to suffer like me with the fall out from my addiction....plus even before all his treatment he was never an " understanding guy "...and I was scared ! ..one of my adopted brothers on here told me ' he might surprise you "....and yes he did....he was obviously...hurt..angry...shocked etc etc...but actually be was fine...when the dust settled. ...so maybe have a re think love...
I'm sooooo glad my addiction is out in the open....your shout and I'm not here to judge....
Anyway....you look after yourself. ..speak soon x

Dizzy you must be up the wall what you are trying to do is unmanageable. It brings back so many memories I've been there mine got better but only because I got help I couldn't of done it alone. It would be great if you Dan find the courage to tell him. With that much going on he is going to find out sooner or later.

You say you have money in your savings you should be using this before trying to get any more credit. And if your driving the car the insurance and tax needs paying if you have an accident or get caught you could go to prison if something serious happens. If you have not paid it your insurance will be invalid.

I'd say call step change but before you do that if done if the bills are joint you will have to tell your husband.

I tried to do what you are doing and it's hell your doing great on the gambling front but it ms a lot easier not to gamble when you have no money.
