Day 139: no gambling today.
Day 140: no gambling today.
No baby yet. The due day came and went on Wednesday, but we have been told to expect it to be a week late as it is our first child. Money is really tight at the moment. Have had to fork out £500 for some building repairs, which turned out to be more complicated than first thought. Also had to pay my language course fees, a hefty Thames Water bill and the council tax payments start again on 1st April. Scratching around for money so have sent off 50 CDs to Music Magpie in the hope of getting some money back in a couple of weeks. I also desperately need to service my bike as the brakes and gears are both failing.

Day 142: no gambling today.
Wow some going! Intend to follow yr example and post daily! Just nice to see! Big words! NO Gambling! Only 150 odd days behind you
Have spent the last two hours trying to choose a baby carrier. So much choice, but the BabyBjörn and Stokke carriers seem to be the best brands. The latter claims to promote a better hip position for the new-born baby although the former has a more breathable material. Both brands are recommended by pediatricians. BabyBjörn is a Swedish brand while Stokke is Norwegian. More money to flood out of my bank account shortly.
Day 143: no gambling today.
It is 9 months until Christmas and my current Experian Credit Score is 815 (Fair). It has not changed since last month. The amount of outstanding debt is £9,020 (down from last month's figure of £9,590).
Hi Pelle,
Fair is not a bad assessment. 9 months to christmas made me break out in a cold sweat....
The debt is going the right way, thats the most important thing, £570 a month is good going, are you able to maintain that each month? Have you a number of different debts or 1 consoledated loan? I have one CC at 3750 down from 3900 in Jan, (what a joke) and 1 loan now at about 19K. its is going to be a long road.
Once the baby arrives, money will become tighter, but I am still looking to reduce my debts each month rather than let them increase. I started off with an £8k loan, a £4k maxed-out credit card and a £2k overdraft, but am whittling these down each month, although I still tend to be permanently overdrawn. My overdraft has the highest interest rate so I need to get rid of that first. I may consider stoozing my loan onto an interest-free credit card later in the year once my credit score is a bit better, but for now I am avoiding applying for any credit whatsoever.
