Good news scottyboy! For non-addicts, 3 weeks doesn't seem long. We know different. Looking forward to reading your continued successes.

Stay close to the site mate - it helps

Best wishes

Yo,

Thank you for your post.

Just read through your thread and I have to say , well done mate , not only for resisting the urges , but you honest approach as to how you feel and letting anyone who reads your diary now that it's not all plain sailing .

I have been in reivery out a year and truely it gets easier , the urges never go away completely but we are stronger so as along we do not get complacent we can dismiss them as opposed to fighting them.

Keep going my friend, every day you abstain, the addiction looses its power. It will sadly never go away , but eventually it will become a minor force in your life instead of the thing that dominated it

Take care

Shiny xxxxx

Yo,

Looking back on your thread , I can not help but notice how much support you have recieved from the members on this site .

It is with sadness I read the post Duncs mentioned , maybe it was a joke , but even if it was , lots of people read these threads , and it does impact on us all what we read . If it was not a joke , well then I am saddened even more cause we are here to support each other , and a comment like that can be the straw that brakes the camels back . Which I am sure none of us want for ourselves , or anyone who has had the courage to join this site .

Dont know whats going on if im honest and it seems like things have calmed a bit and have sorted themmselves out now. But whatever has happened dont use it as fuel for the gambling fire. Stay strong - stress, worry and anger are some big triggers, dont let anything lead you down that horrible road.

Just had a quick look through your diary and you seem to be doing very well. 4 weeks tomorrow is a massive step. Well done mate. I can totally understand the post about going to the bookies to try and get the £14 back for your golf, ive done that sort of thing so many times, it really does make no sense. Anyway no more of that for either of us. Take care mate and stay strong.
