Hi mate, yours was one of the first diaries I read when I signed up and I did at times feel like I was reading my own writing... so I'm hoping to take on your experiences to help myself!!

Good luck starting again tomorrow, you can do it!!

Hi Scottyboy

Firstly well done for coming straight back on here and posting what you have.

Hold onto the fact that you had gone 7 weeks last time and that this is a slip....dust yourself off and try and get back to focusing on not gambling. Things could have been so much worse for you if you hadn't stopped and realised that you don't want to go down that awful road again, the sleepless nights, the stress and despair that gambling brings. I too had a slip a few weeks ago. I was so upset with myself not to mention the disappointment however when the fog lifted I realised that it was a massive learning experience for me in that i now know I can't even have a small gambling because it never will be stop there.

Anyway Scotty, well done for coming back on here

Forwards not back

Scottyboy.

Fella first and foremost, yesterday you joined a club again,a club of winners,an exclusive club as regards us the breed of the compulsive gambler. To use a phrase coined often "just for today, NO BET" By making that choice you will better tomorrow.

My friend recovery is bespoke,no two the same, tailor yours to your end, what suits you,and me who am I to judge.

My triangle learnt the first time I stepped through the doors at GA suit my recovery best

TIME-MONEY-LOCATION

take one away the punt becomes impossible,I see it like this,at it we all wear the same gambling googles, with each day we abstain with those googles binned our focus becomes clearer, our ability and resolve stronger, for me I dont carry any cash or have a bank card, why?? I dont need it,9 months in it still works,"if it aint broke it dont need fixing"

If I need cash I take what I need, the wife looks after the rest,me i'm happy in the knowledge that there is money in the bank,no longer that money once in my hands is it turned into gambling tokens!! rarely cashed in,if so at best only for tommorows stake.

So well done, you joined the winners enclosure again, today make a choice that keeps you there.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Hi scotty

Well done for coming back after your slip. Putting the blocks online is simple enough. The shops I'm not to sure about. Most of them are meant to ban you if you ask, so it's worth asking. Have a good weekend

Well no you couldn't ban yourself from all of them. I know big casinos have to ban you as I have done it myself, but the little shops I don't know about. Hopefully you can sort something out 🙂

Hi scottyboy sorry 2 hear u had a slip but gud 2 see you back posting and gettimg stuck back in.

Try and take it a day at a time i know i keep saying that but 4 me it really is the only way.

Get as many blocks in place as possible because unfortunately will power alone is not enough sometimes with this disgusting dis ease.

You have a lot 2 look 4ward 2 especially getting married you can do this you really can!

Take care
