Don't leave yourself open to temptation on pay day. If you're serious, hand over financial control to him. Many before you have come to grief on pay day, plan now how to avoid it.

Hi Dottyboutu,
Welcome to recovery ☺ just now read your diary and see a lot of raw emotions going on. This is expectable after we come clean to the ones who matters. I only told my sister who is the closest to me in thid country, ...every reaction is different, but it is a reaction and the look on their faces says it all..
I give you massive credit for making this decision of coming clean. Please stay true to your words, it's too easy to fall back (been too many times for me)..so please start putting actions also. ..blocks, changing your card to basic one...ect. please remember that money is nothing when we have so so much more important people in our lives. Make a change, look at their eyes, find what you have forgotten/got lost long ago. It's never too late - try and commit...your life is in ur hands ☺ embrace it
Sandra
Thank you Sandra so much for your kind words.
It has been a difficult 9 days but I have not Gambled. I am staying true to NO....the one thing that is stopping me is the guilt and shame I feel. I don't feel happy I feel sad for doing it for so long and giving no consideration to My family.
Mixed emotions abound.
I got paid Tuesday and instead of gambling it i paid a big lump of the CC Bill... I don't have the card it's been shredded my OH made me do it. But I sat and worked out how long it will take me to pay off the debts ...at least around 5 years ....crikey that's a long time.
But I am doing the right things to help me.
Thank you for your support and sorry for ranting but it helps. Dotty
