Feel useless that i have gambled again, was doing so well and i didnt have a bet for 4 or 5 month, then the football season came and i fought it for a few weeks, i stopped checking in on the forum thinking i didnt need to as i was cured haha what a mug, but the pressure built up what with constant adverts on tv and friends talking about it etc etc, i gave in and started with a small bet on the football, then i gambled more and more then ended up back on roulette on my phone, to cut a long story short i blew £2500 last night and £2000 tonight, on a card that i said i wouldnt ever use only for emergencys, again it didnt matter how much i won i just kept pressing that button, spin again and again out of control, total addict, i feel so pathetic and cant even think of how i am going to handle this new debt, please let this stop. I dont seem to have any value for money at all, why?. Im an total idiot.

Thanks D70

Hi D,

Welcome back on this journey of recovery. Don't be too hard on yourself,.

It's a new day, put yesterday behind you and carry on carrying on. Don't dwell on your losses, they have gone, just take one day at a time again, well done for coming back and being honest with yourself, you will be soooo much stronger now,

Take care

Suzanne xx

Hi Suzanne, thanks for replying, i hope i can be stroner this time. Thing is this time it was my phone that i used to gamble on online roulette, i had already put a blocker on my laptop but not my phone, and i dont thing there is a blocker for phones which is very worrying for me at the minute, but saying that i am angry with myself again and its the last thing i want to do, as i no i cant win as i just continue until i have lost everything anyway. It started with a small bet on football then i needed to gamble more and more until i lost thousands again, why? why? do i do this. I think if i can block my phone like i have my laptop i should be able to move forward without worry.

Thanks D

If you cannot block your phone my advice is simple, get yourself to the phone shop and treat yourself to a handset that has no internet access, mine cost less than a ten pound note,it's great it lets me make calls and send text all a man could ever want from a phone.

Then take a hammer to the other one, great therapy and will guarantee you a 100% pay rise.

Enjoy it.

Hi Duncan

I may take your advice wish i had done that a week ago haha.

I have set up a debt management plan so wont have any cards or money available to gamble with now, this is making life easier its a big pressure taken away from me. From now on its the simple life for me, and the best things in life are free anyway.

Thanks D
