Yuo did the right thing again on sunday!!
Me I doff my cap to you my dear friend.
Duncs stepping forward never back.
Well done for not gambling. Thoughts are with you. Warm regards... S.A 🙂
Just calling in to say thank you kind people.
Feel bad that I am not supporting others but low on resources at the moment and needing the little energy I have to keep on keeping on but a huge charge from the support I receive on here.
Amidst the debris and tears of the weekend my little grandson said to me ' Nana I love you'. Funny that I had only written so recently about my own Nana saying the same to me as we are not a verbally expressive family in that way.
just confirmed my view that it is people that are important in life not all the other rubbish.
“You can’t wait for the storm to be over. You have to learn how to dance in the rain.”
Had to steal this from Sandra's diary as just love the rain when it patters on the roof of my boat.
Always loved the Everley Brothers song Crying in the rain which is way before anyone on here will remember.
Stay safe and warm everyone.
Hey ...know that Everley brothers song too Missy! ..lol
Your only as old as that 78 you feel ( and I mean vinyl disc there, not a fella)
Gone into t shirt production ...also like the tamer slogan but still bhuddist related.."it's all fun and games until someone looses an " I" ...heh heh ..I like that one ..
Thought about you today and wintering on your boat. Saw a top tip for canal boat dwellers in the winter involving a side plate with about 5 tea lights lit and then an upside down plant pot on top one of those terracotta crude type ones with a small hole in the top ( bottom) ..apparently it throws off major heat and looks all glowy and romantic.
Bhuddy amazin! Xxx

Don't you worry about replies. Give when you can and take when you need to. Checked out that Everly Bros tune and it sounded vaguely familiar... maybe an older sister of a friend of mine played it? Not sure. When I looked it up I learned that Carole King actually wrote it (co-wrote with another) and am not surprised. She wrote so many popular songs of the 60's... Little Eva's "Locomotion"... The Beatles "Chains"... and loads of others. Anyway... enjoyed the tune. You rest up!
Hi Dragonfly,
Thanks for supporting me even though you are yourself, feeling low on energy. The Monty Python clip was hilarious. I saw that movie years ago but remembered that scene like it was yesterday. I have The Life of Brian on DVD and am thinking of popping it in later... The crucifixion scene always cheers me up. 😀 It's freezing here so, no more windy beaches until spring. Looking out of the window and waving from a cozy chair -joanxxx

Funny thing is I had decided to write just at the weekend but seem to want to add bits each day.
Just home from work and had an exhausting but very satisfying day.
Put my own cr** to one side for now after another huge family setback last night and during 200 mile round trip managed to engage with three separate young people without one of them telling me to f**k off once, onwards and upwards as they so deserve a chance in life. So relate to them when they tell me no one else listens.
Have to beware though as the more I achieve at work the more the powers that be feel the need to take the *** and load more on me.
Fukitol coursing through my veins and have just listened to Crying in the rain, thanks Carla, think that's part of my problem, I always hid the pain and tears and appeared so strong which is why no one can cope with my physical and emotional weaknesses now.
Someday when my crying's done I'm gonna wear a smile and walk in the sun.
Loving the heating system Rach, only problem is that rather than a canal boat I live on a two storey wooden houseboat which has five rooms and is mainly open plan so I just know I would set the place on fire (the last houseboat moored here actually did catch fire and sink or is it sunk or is it sinked). Will most certainly try one in the bathroom though till I get boiler, always wondered how they wee in the arctic without getting frostbited bits.
Stopped at services today and had miniscule blip putting a tenner in a machine (for fun believe it or not) then realised what a complete moron I was by thinking it could ever be fun and brought the horrors to the forefront of my mind which stopped me in my tracks thankfully, but a very near miss. Unbelievable really as would have increased family problems a zillionfold if they knew.
Off to light some candles and make sure my flower pots aren't plastic, so if you see pictures on the news of a burning pyre floating down the river Thames !!!!!

I'm just a hexagonal peg in a round hole and I really don't fit this world and at the moment don't really want to.

It's sick it's wrong it hurts...stand up soldier and look beast in the eye by saying - f*** off!!

Tomorrow is another day..

Well my love , the universe is a hologramic dodecahedron ( been studying geometry ) so you will fit right in with your hexagonal self ...
I'm an analogue girl in a digital world! ..same same.
Maybe we shall scrap the plantpot idea heh heh ..but on a more exciting note , the Monty Python boys are doing a stage come back next year as radio 4 informs me!!! Buy your tickets!!
Sketches old and new ...not sure if Cleese will be doing funny walks what with his dodgy knee and hip replacement but I'm sure dead parrots will feature along will cantankerous and curmudgeon Ol men humour which I love love love xxx
Thanks Sandra and Rach.
Think the downer appeared from realising how close I was to slipping again and how different the outcome could have been so financially I lost nothing but emotionally it was like a kick in the teeth.
Used to have a geodesic dome in my garden that we made at art college, still have most of it so might renovate it next summer - its planning that keeps me sane.
Saw Monty Python live at Wimbledon theatre. Also we used to have a pet shop for a few years and yes you guessed it, we sold parrots, some of which died and were returned to us if within the first two weeks. We then had to keep the body in a plastic bag in the freezer and return them to our supplier. Guess who sold one of these frozen carcasses by accident instead of frozen dog food. Doh. but would have made a good sketch.
My ex used to put bits of carrot in the fish tanks as well and pretend to eat the goldfish, all the old ladies loved him as he was such a 'character'.
Struggling with emotions at the moment as more stress due this weekend but focusing on the future and reading if not writing keeping me sane so a big thankyou.

Hey DF
Sandra has wise words there ....
Always reading if not always posting of that you can count on DF xx
You have us DF .,no need to isolate and do the do ...if you post you will get heard and will always get considered...if I don't post it's less because I don't want to but more because I don't want to give the wrong feedback.,..but hey! We are all human right? So maybe I just jettison that fear and come to your aid xxx
