Hi wp. If I had have lost I would have been ashamed but as I won and told my mother about it and she has since won money from my tips, she is not upset with me so I do not feel ashamed. I guess thats the difference between winning and losing. I'm still living the gamblers life.
Hi wp
re your post on chippers diary I dont feel telling him he should be ashamed of stealing from his mother is very helpful. You are usually more supportive with posts and provide constructive advice and guidance not just telling somebody off.
You know as well as any of us how this illness leads us to beg, steal or borrow from anyone if it feeds the habit and we are in a desperate place at that time.
I have borrowed money from family under false pretences and am ashamed now but at that time it seemed like the right thing to do and had anyone just told me I was out of order at that time with no construction alongside the criticism I would have just told them where to go.
Hi wp
Thanks for the post on my diary.Im glad to see you are still going strong m8.Its great to see a whole bunch of us that started within a couple of weeks of eachother doing so well. The good thing is kid you want everyone else to feel as good as you do.Your diary will be a great read for newcomers .All the best Jeff.

Hi wp.

Stay strong!
Viggo.
Since i last posted i have had 13 replies to my diary to which i thank you all for taking the time to post....i havent saw them kids now for 8 days and it really is getting to me...phone calls go unanswered and through a text ive been told will see them when they are ready...ive tried numerous times now but there just seems no leeway at present...in fact i think shes winding me up saying i spent all last weekend partying when i was entertaining my parents and working...seano,i have been sad enough this week to have watched all of bgt to try and take mind of matters but 5 1/2 months ago i would most prob have gambled on it so im pleased with my progress....it appears ive hit a raw nerve on certain diaries with my posting but just had to vent my feelings, some may think over the top others maybe agree but every diary is different and we all have to fight this positively.unfortunately certain diaries cant just help themselves...maybe one day they will see what this illness has done to my life...im away to enjoy the final now, today i did not bet tomorrow i wont bet we can do this folks (only if we want to ) 🙁
Don't know what to say wp regarding the domestic situation.....,i know i would be very frustrated if i was in your position, not wanting to pry into your personal life mate but you have a legal right to see your child, certainly your ex can't legally deny you or your child time together?,i understand that it may not be the way you want to deal with things 🙂
By the way, don't upset yourself about anything you have posted mate, your 100% right!!!.Just concentrate on your own desire to beat this illness :).
Seano.
You have shown how strong you are by not succuming under emotional strain - good for you!
It must be awful missing them kids, but I guess getting all aggro wont help things move forward.
Thanks for your post. I didn't go, because I just wasn't up to it. I know what you mean about not letting people get in the way but my nerves are not strong enough yet.
Anyway, hope you have a breakthrough of some kind soon with your personal stuff.
Take care,
f x
Morning wp
Thanks for post. re my earlier entries, Yes, you read correctly, I cleared 11K of my debts during the Jan- May period while betting on football only.
During the last few weeks I have lost 4K gambling on random rubbish because I am bored since the domestic football season finished. So on the positive side I am 7K better off debt wise than at start of year, albeit still massive debts to clear.
I know you and others will continue to recommend complete abstinence and I respect your views, but my target remains the same, try and find other things to do to ease boredom during summer, then get back to football only betting in August.
P.S. - I know someone who made 83K profit on football last season. He is of course not a CG, and extremely disciplined.
All the best to you

Camps..,masters and fellow godfathers of the high and mighty difficult times but 25 weeks of abstainence tomorrow..,enough said 😉
25 weeks! fantastic!!!!
How do you feel now? do you still have the urge to gamble? I take it your life has changed alot in the last half a year?
Goooood stuff, inspirational.
Well done on 25 weeks, once again proof that if we put our all into beating this then we can all do it.
Keep going and enjoy your gambling free life.
Jim (last bet 22/04/06)
Hey wp,
25 weeks is all well and good....but you if you're the godfather then surely gambling is the mafia. "You think you get out, and it pulls you back in".
I'm starting to think that quitting gambling is similar to working in bomb disposal, as it seems that one slip and everything gets destroyed.
The important thing is we don't make that slip. Keep it up mate, you're doing great.
Ryan
Well done Winning! That's a great achievement....make sure you reward yourself for all your hard work.
