Congratulations on reaching 25 weeks wp,what a fantastic milestone for you!!!....,i know how much effort and hard work you put into your recovery (just like me),and that despite not gambling we are both facing what at times seem insurmountable obstacles in other areas of our lives....,keep up the great work mate.All the very best.

I follow you through your posts to others as its easier to find you that way!! Well done on notching up so many positive days! I dont really understand some of the comments and cryptic clues on some diaries (being blonde I suppose!) but have always found you to be realistic, honest and truly inspirational ,defiantely one i want to follow. Please dont go all technical!! Carry on as you are, you are doing so well and if others dont want to do as well as you then that is their loss. I know you like to help and support people but you must remember you cant please all of the people all of the time! so maybe some of the people some of the time is better? and the others can just sod off anyway!!! lol

Keep it going my friend onwards and upwards! we can do it and we will!!

Thanks wronghead,gulls jim,leedso,jasmine,seano and lindy.,much appreciated as usual my friends....leedso the term godfather was from another diary basically saying i and others were getting too big for our boots.,well i can assure you im still a size 8 with my feet firmly on the ground when it comes to gambling...,jasmine i think your assumption could be spot on on that diary,i do feel for the guy but when you take a verbal attack (not just myself ) its only natural to respond...in fact another diary user slipped only last week when the diary in question was talking about football bets...do we need that to encourage us on here.,im sure there are hundreds of gambling forums out there that would just love to hear from that user.....anyways i was going to wait till next week to post my latest milestone but was so wound up by that diary i felt i had to remind myself how far ive came...its bad enough being wound up by a certain bloody female than my friends on the diaries....talking of which i texted yest morning saying i will have to see kids sometime and the reply was NOW,there and then so i rushed round asap as was working yest and too my delight the wee nipper came running into my arms...bit emotional really after 8 days.,things very much still frosty with the ex but least i got some quality time...on atfernoons again now so hopefully get into routine of taking dogs oot a nice walk and seein kids early mornings tho have been told its just an excuse to see bairns...just nae pleasin some folk.,,today i wont bet tomorrow i wont bet we can do this folks.,have a bet free day 🙂

Glad to hear you got to see wee nipper one! females are no doubt a species not to be reckoned with, you are doing so well keeping your cool!! hope you have more contact now shift has changed just keep it real when the mummy is around, see her as a gambling venue - you dont even want to go there!!

I am not taking the "P" there are two sides to every story and i know only yours, but it is so sad when we can see how determined you are and how difficult she makes things for you. But you still havent gambled and your not going to today!

Post--take a deep breath mate and think of all the good that this site has brought you. You have enough negative things in your life to get wound up about what somebody who is the complete opposite in many ways to you is doing with their life.

You have gone 25 weeks without gambling--a fantastic achievement from where you started and one that many of us applaud. You should be extremely proud of what you have done.

There is an old saying --'You cannot win them all'---it is very true and reflects a lot of what happens to us in our lives.

In life we meet some people to whom we can relate--they like us and we like them. We also meet others who we really do not want to have anything to do with. Why should this site be any different?? There are bound to be certain groups of people who relate better to each other than they do with certain others--it is just a fact of life. There are others who welcome any constructive advice and try to act upon it whilst some just ignore the obvious and continue in their own sweet way. Whatever somebody choses is down to them and they have to face any consequences that this brings. I know that you try to help most people on here as indeed I would like to think I do as well but we have to accept that some people will not accept the way we think . I just hope that in time they will come to accept that we do not accept the way forward as they see it.

I for one am glad that we are in the same 'gang'.

Really pleased some positivity is returning. Some things matter like your bairns, just filter out all the other c**P and you'll be laughing mate.

Please don't think from my last post I was trying to further suggest anything from the word godfather, I usually tend to agree with what you post, and was just making a joke.

I think the "high and mighty" thing was a big pile of bull-P**P anyway, I've always found you down to earth without a touch of arrogance to you.

Seeing the kids again must have been wonderful, hope the icy reception thaws again and things look up once more.

Thank you all for your support...really appreciated...frustrating day today....tried a conversation with the ex and ended up t*t for tat and me being wound up and screaming down phone so most prob blew my chances of seein bairns this week (yes gambling was at forefront of shouting match) people say the past has gone but by jings theres many a skeleton in the cupboard :-(..,who knows tomorrows another day but it is so frustrating...is it me or are the tv channels going over top with englands world cup coverage... a certain satellite channel for example follow everything...oh look wayne rooneys tying his bootlaces dearie me john terrys scratching his a r se..and wheres frank lampard oh hes picking his nose and theres rio wheres he gone i hope he washes his hands..lets take a certain satellite sports exclusive and see he he !! Probably sounds sour grapes from a scotland point of view but it does look like that...anyway today i did not bet tomorrow i wont bet....onwards and upwards we an do this 😉

wp,chin up mate,i know these t*t for tat arguements serve no useful purpose for you or your ex for that matter,and are one of the hardest things to put an end to in any relationship,like you say tomorrow is another day,and you can try again :),just hope you can remain calm mate.Regarding the world cup,yes they do go over the top,slightly different for me, being born in England of Scottish parents so i support both.Stay strong wp.

Hi Post---sorry to read that things still like ww3 between you and the ex. With regards to the link on my diary--a lady in Devon was left in charge of a building company when the bosses went off to Canada. Over the next few months she alledgedly embezzled about £130,000 and actually staked over £2million on a single on-line site. She has already served time, her husband divorced her after a long marriage and now she is being sued for the money as they try to say that she has kept some of it.

As you know Seano and I met up yesterday as we only live about 15 miles or so apart. It was good to see somebody who has gone through something similar but in a different way if you get what I am trying to say. We have both suffered badly through gambling and are determined that we will not do so again.
