Hi Holycrosser,

I really like reading your posts and congratulations - you are doing so well 🙂

Keep it up and all the very best for the wedding, the job and paying off that tax bill - I too have one arriving soon.

You are an inspiration to us all.

Take care and I hope the night in with the dog isn't too boring!

Julia

Awww, thank you Julia, that means a lot, been a tough day today, pretty bored but thankfully plenty jobs around the house have kept me busy.No gambling but I must admit to watching a horse race on the telly today, felt weird, switched it off after....this will be in me for years, to be “cured” will take the rest of my adult life...

this is will not beat me, I’ve so much to put right, I’ve so much to lose for myself.

Thank you for the support, today I’m not a gambler, day 90 done.

cheers Dave, wise words.

day 91 , I’ve had a nice walk and lunch, no urges at all today...20 days till I get married !

i know there’s so much wrong in my life but she’s the one good thing.this is for us and for our future and my sanity, I’m doing this for both of us, it’s a massive road back but one I’m still on but patience is hard, 3 months in of a 4 year plan seems a short time but at least I’m still on that road.almost 1500 days I need to rack up....I’m on day 91.

what a plonker I’ve been, I hate gambling, it’s ruined years of my life.

no more, no more.

So day 95 ,  the day I ring the tax office, £4,800 the bill came in at .

hopefully my payment plan is accepted and the firm who mucked this up keep to their promise, I said this was a big few weeks for me and today it starts, will keep yous posted on how it goes, need them to agree or I’m in trouble.

no gambling, not a chance, totally focused on the way out.

*hated creeping around to catch the postman , the lying I will always regret but it’s my mess to sort.sorry.

day 95 GF is admirable, congrats - not sure if you are an obsessive with the numbers but must be a good feeling knowing the big 100 days is approaching.

Keep doing what you are doing, you sound focused, methodical and as if you have plans in place to better your future.

I know what it feels like sneaking around as i have kept everything from my partner, including getting the post before she opens a bank statement etc!

I will keep reading with interest, and wish you all the best.

Great news , the tax office accepted my payment plan.

so good to get that in place and a weight off my mind, just now have to pay it and keep my end of the bargain.

i can now concentrate on other things and keep myself gambling free.

today was a better day, 95 days free from this curse , still a long way to go but I’m still going strong.thank you for all the support I receive.
