Thanks for the comments, it is indeed only a stroll which will last a lifetime, but I am enjoying the walk at the moment. I never thought I could come this far which has only made me more determined to continue. Today I will not place a bet.

Well Santa is almost here and I will be getting the biggest present ever............ some more gamble free time!! Feeling good at the moment taking small steps towards a better life with less debt!!

Merry Christmas, today marks 18 weeks of being gamble free what a great present. Today is all about the family and I will make sure I have a great day but because just this once I think I deserve it. Have a great day everyone and today I will not place a bet!

Cheers Triangle. Well Xmas day is over with and looking towards the next target of 150 days. This marks my first gamble free festive for about 15 years, Boxing Day was always a day to push the family away ready to spend a day in front of the TV and computer gambling non stop!! Well not today, I am going to embrace my new found freedom and enjoy some quality time with my loved ones safe in the knowledge that the only money I have spent is on them. Today I will not place a bet.

Boxing day over with no urges to gamble not said that for a few years!! I have enjoyed this Xmas more than any other for no reason other than I didn't have to deal with the stress of losing money to the bookies. Onwards and upwards now looking forward to 2016 which will hopefully be gamble free.

A strange day yesterday I had a passing thought to stick £10 on the football, I'm glad I let the thought pass because we all know were that would lead! It just shows that this addiction never leaves you and I need to keep the guard up at all times the thought of going back to day zero haunts me. Will keep myself busy today getting ready for a gamble free start to 2016, no gambling today.
Yup, just when you think you're safe, up pops an urge! I don't get them so much now but I kinda like them in a pressing a bruise sorta way! Reminds me, like it has you, to never let complacency in...There's no room for it in recovery!

Thanks ODAAT appreciated. Still plodding on as we get closer to the New Year which I hope is my first gamble free for a long long time. Busy day today with family and then work tomorrow so no time for gambling.

Well almost there now as Hogmanay is with us, no betting for me today as I look forward with a great deal of hope to 2016 which I will try and make gamble free. This journey is not easy and my considerable debt is testament to that, however I can see the debt reducing and I no longer continually rob Peter to pay Paul, simple things but it makes me smile inside. All the best for the new year and Lang May Yur Lum Reek!!
