Hi Flagg,

Congratulations on your 143 days so far, a real achievement and you should be so proud of yourself.

Good luck with the running and don't do too much damage to your feet, sounds like they are coming in for some real punishment! I too have found a new appetite for sport since I stopped gambling, now we have more time, more energy, more cash and a greater desire to get out there and feel free and fit.

Stay safe and strong

Paulds

Yo ,

You sound like a man after my own heart .....

Before days off hols , have to have dotted the i,s and crossed to t,s to ensure that I do not have stuff hanging over me .

There is nothing better than an empty in box , or that enormous sence of achievement when crossing off the last item on the ever so long to do list .

For me doing this refuses the stress in my down time , which in turn reduces the need to escape , in to the dreaded world of gambling I frequented in the past .

Enjoy you meeting tonight , hearing new stories is like pressing the refresh button on ones computer, although always tinged with a certain sadness that there are sooooo many struggling with this addiction,

Take care , enjoy your days off !

Good evening diary,

Day 144 - No problems today, attended different GA meeting last night and that was ok! Good to try other meetings and a couple of people were complimentary about me attending as I couldn't make my normal Thursday meeting so that was nice!

Couple of days away and feel whacked already looking forward to all you can eat buffet shortly that will definitely offset the 5 miles I ran in the gym earlier!

Hope everyone is doing ok ill be catching up over the weekend!

Hi Flagg just curious do you remember how many people started the 90 day thread, just thinking we must have a near 100% success rate. Its going really well, were over half way through and to get such a high number of people sticking with it is great.

Hi Diary,

Day 146 - Thanks as ever for the posts of support. Been a hectic couple of days and it shows no signs of slowing down. Made an hour today though to catch up on a few threads. Always good to see how others are getting on. Also really pleasing to see everyone going strong on the 90 day thread.

Aside from it being a bit hectic life is pretty good. No complaints here right now.

Here's to another weekend bet free.

Yo,

I tell you are in a good place of late , how ??

Your own posts are getting shorter , not that I mind , do not feel cheated lol, just get the impression that although busy at work everything seems to be at ok level .

Not tooooooo stressfull , not toooooooo boring .

Do you know just then I thought of the 3 bears and the porridge , think yours is just right .

Not saying that it's a breeze , cause we both know we have to work our recovery to stay in it . But balance I suppose is the key . You wrote on my thread yesterday about being behind me in the middle lane , I could be wrong and correct me if I am , but I recon we are level pegging .

You may be a man of few words lately but those few words are most defo music to my ears and I am sure to the rest of your gam care buddies .

Morning Diary,

Day 148 - Going to be a manic 2 weeks at work! Project kicks off next Monday so this week all about putting the finishing touches to the prep! Came back to wok this morning to an email from my boss praising my work last week in particular! In all honesty I worked extremely hard on the Wednesday just shows what a bit of effort can do!

So next week the project starts I oversee the first week and then I'm off for a week so that will be interesting! I have 3 weeks to make sure it's working before I visit our other sites and train it in but I'm off for one of them so it's going to be fun!

Honestly have not had an urge to gamble for a good few weeks now! The thoughts still come on occasions but a thought is temporary and can be pushed aside!

Got a few tests ahead in October I will be working away for most of the month so I need to ensure my barriers are fixed and my time is consumed during the evenings! Hotel with a gym is essential for me!

During October I reach 183 days which is my next target so still feeling good and still feeling confident!

Glad to hear your doing well. No real urges for a while is a great thing. Well done for planning ahead and making sure your blocks will be in place in the times your working away.

Nice to hear your getting some praise, doesn't happen enough at work. Good luck with the future work projects and the holiday - sounds like you'll need a break.
