good evening everyone...

what a day! I have been gambling on and off since I was 18. The casinos after a night out with my friends, some football bets in the bookies, a dabble on the roulette machines, it was probably only when I started my new job just over two years ago that my gambling became an issue. A new job a long way from home and outside the office 5 bookies within 50meters. It all started as a bit of lunchtime entertainment (10mins or so) to cut a long story short, lunchtimes became every lunch time for the whole hour (sometimes more). This developed into after work also. The wins and losses as always increased And mid Nov-16 I decided that was it! I had had enough. I'm just started the process of buying a house and planning a wedding with my fiancГ©, but somehow still felt compelled to gamble!? Why!? I stayed away for 45 days and was very pleased, but then I lapsed "what harm will £20 do?" Well I went on a winning streak for a few days. £1000 up. Well today I lost £800 of that in about an hour. I am lucky not to have debts but being able to afford a house is now on a knife edge, and the wedding is going to be squeeze.

I have never spoken to anyone about my problem and am so scared to do so. Having spent the last hour on this site I see the benefits and will be bookmarking this to keep me on track as I do the 100day challenge. I could write so much more but I shan't bore you.

Welcome James.
Firstly get some photos and self exclude from the shops by your work. If you don't want to physically enter the shops you can self exclude from all shops in your area in one phone call.

Why is it your scared to talk to anyone about your problem?
Trust me just reach out to someone. Your fiance maybe?

Keep sharing James

All the best for now
Deano
