Hi roch hope you are well. As always proud of you on day 87Â
Hello Roch.Â
Many thinks for your excellent post on my diary.
Just read in the news that scientists think they have discovered a fifth fundamental force which together with the other four control everything in the universe.Â
I will advise the ducks when visiting them in the marina tomorrow.
Sometimes I get a peculiar feeling that we are all characters in a video game (probably being played by a pigeon and a goose) because that is what we would least expect!
Â
Aum?
Â
Very interesting insights as always Stephen. I read not long ago that someone put forward that the universe was shaped like a doughnut (or 'torus' if we're going to use the boring word for it) and he won a Nobel prize!
The theory being, that whatever straight line you walk on a doughnut (picture an ant on the doughnut), you always end up back in the same place. Hence the theory that we can never walk outside of the universe; we're trapped within it. (It's a big ol' trap though.)
I'm not talking jammy doughnuts here, although personally prefer them (or with a custard filling) to those with a hole. But I digress.
But certainly something else to run past the ducks next time you see them Stephen. Say hello from me 🙂
Day 89 and all is fine 🙂
Day 90. One day at a time!
Congratulations on 90 days my friendÂ
Awesome 90 days ,habit is broken now. Keep going you're doing great
Congratulations Roch on your excellent progress in recovery.Â
Your positivity, wisdom and good sense of humour are a pleasure to behold.Â
90 days is a significant milestone and recognised by many as a cause for celebration so I raise my glass, tip my hat and salute a job well done.
Â
Aum ?
Thank you so much Debsy, Charlieboy and Stephen for your wonderful supportive messages - they really do mean a lot.
I’ve asked myself, can we make friends on here, even though we are anonymous? The answer is yes, because we are all still very real.
So thank you, friends 🙂
Day 91. Just for today, I vow not to gamble.
Â
Day 92. Just for today, I vow not to gamble.
Congratulations to you Roch for being the brave soul you are. A wise man of honour and integrity who is prepared to make sacrifices and stand up for the things that are right and proper.Â
Your journey of recovery is taking shape and looking good.Â
In just 8 days time there will be crowds lining the streets approaching the Century Club to cheer you over the line but due to covid restrictions you might have to settle for me Debsy and a few ducks ?♂️????????.Â
Â
Aum ?
Â
Thank you so much for your kind words, Stephen, as I hop, skip and jump into Day 93. Just for today, I promise not to gamble.
Â
Day 94;
And I implore,
Not to gamble.
End of ramble!
Day 94;
And I implore,
Not to gamble.
End of ramble!
Great Post Roch. The first letter of each line together spells DANE and reminded me of a well known Danish proverb:
"Bad is never good until worse happens."Â
And a Danish philosopher called Soren Kierkegard wrote:
"Life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced."Â
Â
Aum
Â
Two really good proverbs there, Stephen; thank you.Â
The Danes certainly, came up trumps there, along with brewing good lager!
Two thumbs up!

Day 95. Just for today - just today - I promise not to gamble.
Affected by gambling?
