My New Diary

Day 96.  Just for today, I refuse to gamble. 

I notice I'm nearly at 100 days.  Whilst this is a reasonable milestone, there will be no letting down the guard. No 'reward' for going 100 days gambling free.  That's not how this works.  However, I will consider having this habit licked if I reach 10,000 days. 

Until then it is one day at a time.  I can manage one day. Five minutes here to repeat my vow, and then onto life, a little more appreciative of it every single day.

96 days. Awesome my friend x

Excellent weather and a sense of normality returning as the crowds head off for Saturday shopping plus visits to the alehouses and outdoor cafes. The revellers, being British, have an inbuilt sense of decorum and will no doubt behave in the genteel manner befitting the natives of this proud nation. Partying Brits are tolerant and well behaved so the constabulary will have an easy job keeping the peace.

I agree; it's great to see a sense of normality returning which, allied with a predicted mini-heatwave, is just reward for what has been, to say the least, a very trying time.  Let's hope that all revellers have a great time and a good spirit pervades.

Day 98. Just for today, I will not gamble.

 Day 99, and, like all days, with little fanfare, I choose not to gamble. The blocks help, undoubtedly, but so choose not to gamble all the same.

100 days is great lets celebrate today.

So it's 100 days for me today, a milestone, but it's soooooo much better as we do these things together.  All hitting our own milestones, all doing are best, our very best, to keep this addiction at bay by, with a combination of blocks, support, attitude, love, care, good humour and respect, one day at a time, choosing not to gamble 🙂

Dalmation Day. 101 days gambling free.  But, whilst nothing changes in a way - just for today, I choose not to gamble - in other ways, everything is changing. For the better.  This is why I - we - are doing this.

Lol Dalmation Day. Hope the dalmations treat you well today. You're doing great and absolutely WE are doing this together. TEAM.......together everyone achieves more....
