Kyle, thanks for the support and well done on continuing your recovery.

It takes real courage and determination to experience as public a setback as yours, yet you continue to fight and are not ashamed to admit to your struggles - bravo that man.

Living in the UK is tough for us CGs, temptation is everywhere. I'm learning that whilst I'm over here. I'm also learning that life is full of happiness - we've just got to lower our expectations, and embrace normality. I'll say it again...

It's the simple things in life that make you smile...

Take care buddy,

M

Hi Kyle.

Just checking up on you. Think I remember you saying that today is your payday. I've read sooo many posts over the past week so if I've got that wrong.. I apologise. I know my payday is gonna be an almighty challenge on the 10th december. Just hoping that you are keeping up the good work you've been doing over the last 6 days.

I permit you to be equally naggy to me on my payday.. I kNow somebody will need to prize my cashcard out of my hands so I avoid temptation.

Lookin forward to your next story.

Speak soon AJ. Only1winner

Hey Kyle,

Hope you are OK and that you sailed though payday without succumbing to those evil gambling thoughts.

They really do try and get you during payday times don't they?!

But we WILL all win this battle against those thoughts.

DAY 7 GAMBLE FREE - this is start of day 8

HI everyone. Sailed through a week gamble free so very pleased. Been really busy so not had a chance to come on here. Sorry ive not been posting on other diaries too much. I hope to catch up with you all soon.

Well i have given control of finances to my mum so its kind of out of my control now. I know i could probably find a way to get it back but i think i wont.

My gambling urges have always been immediate. 24 hour cooling always worked with me. Any site i put limits on or self excluded always worked. I never saw the point of plotting in advance. If i had the urges to gamble then i had to gamble, at that time. If i couldnt then i would be angry and grumpy for a bit but ultimately i would not be able to gamble so it would pass.

So without being over confident or cocky. I genuinley think this will work. And if it doesnt, if i do have a slip, at least the damage to finances will be minimal.

All in all, feeling really good about the whole thing. Just finishing off a story i wrote so hopefully be posting on here soon ( for all my fans lol)

Hope everyone has a gamble free weekend

no problems for me saturday. Slept most of day and missed all the football. Then took an overtime shift night duty which has been a brilliant laugh. Sunday (day 9) will be spent relaxing and hopefully catching up with you all on the forums as i been neglecting you all 🙁

Hope you all had a gamble free saturday

Cheers x
