Hi Craig - you still up for a couple of beers on Friday? Any thoughts on where? Maybe Counting House or somewhere like that as a start point?

Hey Mr B

Sincere apologies for not been online last wee while. Had a death in the family sadly which has set me back a bit. Been a difficult past week. I know i can't gamble and i'll be honest i had a few tetchy moments where i was feeling so upset i wanted to numb the pain but i held strong.

Really sorry mate, going to have to give the drinks tomorrow a miss as my family live up in the Highlands where i am now. I was so looking forward to meeting you and a few of the guys in person and i'm gutted about that but i need to help the family with arrangements and support etc.

Hopefully we can get something organised again in the near future. I hope you all have a nice relaxing night tomorrow.

I'll be back online next week when i get back down to Glasgow. Just got to hold strong now for the sake of others who need me.

Also remain strong and keep any gambling thoughts well away no matter how hard the next few days are.

Cheers

Craig

Hi Craig,

So sorry to hear of your loss and sorry you didn't make it tonight. I'm sure there will be other opportunities. Meanwhile chin up my friend and stay strong.

Hey mate,

I completely missed your post last week - so so sorry to hear of your loss. Really hope you are coping and managing to get through the tough time. You're in thoughts and prayers mate.

I've checked you in to the challenge for last week and will do this week should you not have the chance - I know you're made of strong stuff mate.

Walking with you Craig......not just in recovery from gambling.

Hey Craig,

Just checking in on your diary mate - Friday is your check in day on the challenge so I'm thinking that you may still be up North with family.

Really hope you are OK soldier, take care and know that we are rooting for you.

Hi Julie, Sandra, Linda, Del, Mr B

Thank you all so much for your posts. Honestly, although i've never met any of you in the flesh you all feel like real true friends and i'm really proud to have met you all through gamcare.

The last couple of weeks have been pretty tough and i honestly think that if i had not met you guys here and a few others, started a proper diary, joined Mr B's 2014 challenge i'd have gambled under the stress and strain of what happened. No question and i'd have been in a terrible place. I've kept strong and i've dismissed the demons when they've came into my head. I've self destructed far too many times in my life and i won't be self destructing again. Instead i've been a strong family member in the last couple of weeks and have remained strong to those in the family who needed me. Again, if i'd have been back to gambling i'd have been absent in mind and body. So thank you guys.. you've all played a part in keeping me on the straight in narrow. Seriously Mr B, your challenge for 2014, i'm taking it so seriously. In fact i don't think i've given anything in the last 5 years such serious consideration and effort. I'm fed up of giving up and falling into old ways and i'm determined to get through 2014 without one single bet of any kind. When we all have that meet up in 2015, i think that will be the proudest moment in my life ever. That's how much it will mean to me. Again, i thank you all for the strength each one of you have given me. I just hope i can be there for you all whenever you may need it.

Proud to say:

Day 120 - NO GAMBLING

Cheers

Craig
