Well done in getting the book jappy, it’s definitely a game changer, keep going, the more you read and understand the book, the easier it is to get your head round stopping gambling.

Today is day 30 1 full month not £1 has left my pocket! My debts are large and will take many years to pay off, but they are better now than 30 days ago! I have a positive view of the future, Allen Carr book is making sense and seems to be clearing my head - here is to day 31!

Congratulations Jappy on 30 days gamble free.

I admire your pragmatic approach. You are putting time and effort into understanding your compulsion to gamble and are taking positive steps to overcome foolish desires and crazy urges. Instead of running away from addiction you are facing it square on and that takes courage.

Recovery is an ongoing battle but the 30 days between you and your last bet can give you some breathing space and allow you to reflect on your good progress. I wish you well as you continue on your journey ...stephen

Day 32 - it’s 3.40am wide awake so I thought I would have a read on forum! A couple of new members reminding me of the pain when gambling - good luck to them in their recovery. Looked on the 2018 challenge! Bottom of the league table!! I don’t mind that! Work is manic at moment so that’s playing around in head! Don’t know where I found time for gambling! But that’s good! Here’s to another day 32 gf.

Day 41! Pay day! I am glad to tell you that I don’t even feel stressed today, I went through my budget and paid my bills and worked out where I am today compared to last pay day and back to where I was on 19.10.18 - still seriously in debt however already my debt has come down (and will continue to do so). Small steps. I looked at my payments I have made, I have been out for meals and paid, bought more clothes, wine and petrol and it adds up! I am realising what money is for “living” before I was a binge buyer “have a win- splash out! Week later baked beans! Never worked out how life costs! This is all good, because even after all this I owe less! Here is to the end of Nov - this will be my first full month without g for years! Bring on Dec! Stay safe and gf for today!

Yesterday was a strange day that has refocused me! I went into town for a package that I wanted to swap, which I did however I started to wander and wandered past a few haunts! There was a pull, and in a dream i did go in and nearly talked myself into having a bet! Nothing happened but clearly in mind psyche- refocus today I won’t gamble gf

Day 45 a busy and frustrating day as being asked to create work which is not ready unnecessarily ended and no time to do it! A few grrrs and got in with it! In days gone by I would be off to lala land and a few quid down still have the problem! Off on work travels now with part done work, more to do later but done and day 45 nearly over! Seems a lifetime ago somehow! However debt keeps telling me how real it was here is to another day gf
