Evening Sir'Alan, Deano and I were saying the same about it being a bit flat earlier this week (which you would know if you joined our group, ahem). This place seems to go through phases, but I definitely feel the loss of regular input from Duncan, and any input from Suzanne who was always so positive (I like positive people) but never forgot the difficulty of the early days. I miss the laughs we all had too, but someone will no doubt take that personally as they generally do with anything I have to say to my online friends. Oh well, that's life I suppose. So, whilst I'm swimming, we can set up a hoist to lower you into the water gently if you like? Haha! In all seriousness, my mum had a hip replacement and had immediate relief from the constant pain. So relieved was she that she cried when she came round from the op, I cried too because I thought she was in too much pain only to find they were tears of joy! (Lump in throat at the memory..) So the sooner the better Harold. Our hostess with the mostest Loxxie will ensure we're all well plied with booze with luck, Deano will be fitness instructor, Bal will catch our lunch at the local river and I'll just straighten my hair on my very own patio, so we're all sorted - it'll be like Butlins. We can sort out jobs for all the rest on arrival 🙂
Enjoy the rest of the evening pickle.

I wonder if you can take the old hips home for the dog to chew on? Lol

Many thanks for your kind words. Things are settling down with lots of family memories being discussed.

Another fantastic milestone. You continue to invest in your recovery and it is a good lesson for all of us here who are in the early stages of rebuilding our lives without gambling...

Uncle George! happy 400 days 🙂
Good to see you about on here. Just read your last diary catch up, and I'm pleased that life is treating you well. Shame about the hips, but the operation will soon sort that out. I know it's a big thing to have done (I remember in my nursing days being in watching those ops and they were quite brutal. The surgeon came out with a saw and chisel and us students thought he was joking until he started to use them!!) but you'll feel so much better for it. I hope things work out for the foster children. I guess it'll be hard letting them go when the time comes...one reason why I don't think I could do it...but how great for them that they've had this time in their lives to experince some joy and make some happy memories. Here's hoping they get the settled, loving forever family that they deserve.
Anyway, would love to stay and chat but I've got a cat to worm. I raise my cyber glass to your next 400 days xx
Just how many birthdays can one man have?
Now Sir'Alan, do you think we can get through one without starting a riot? Haha! Congratulations my hip challenged friend, have a nice warm radox bath and snooze in front of the fire to celebrate 🙂
