Thanks curly that message just actually made me realise a lot. And like you say because ive gone 8weeks without gambling I have forgot what the pain of losing is like, but I certainly do not want to ever feel like that again. Also in the past 8weeks I feel like I have got back to my old self I have been socialising a lot with my friends. What I keep trying to say to myself is I will never win by gambling as all I do is put the money won back in again but as you know you lose and then chase loses etc. Thanks for your support

Hi J100

We both came here for the first time on the same day. Unlike you, I didn't manage to resist those urges on the following payday and went straight back into it with a bang and don't think I've ever felt so bad about anything in my life! You managed to resist them and have done really well. I think that we get paid on the same day- I am determined not to blow it again. You have already proved that you can do it!

I think that you are going to be ok. You are already seeing that you are getting your life back and are in a much better place seeing your friends again etc. You'll soon be 2 paydays clear of gambling! That's a great achievement and like I said before, the more you resist the urges, the stronger you'll be!

Take care and happy payday for Tuesday! x

Payday has finaly come. And still gamble free, paid a lot of bills debts today. Had a really good day booked myself and my boyfriend a holiday and put £200 deposit down on it. Money actually has a meaning now instead of just a number on a screen! Have that to look forward to now and also to save the money to pay for this. 9weeks gamble free this friday 🙂

Well done J100!

Payday does not have to be an excuse to gamble away our hard earned money. Much better to have something to show for our wages.

Keep up the good work!

9 weeks gamble free today - had a very big urge the other day but resisted this and as soon as I was paid I paid all my bills etc so its its not left me with a lot of money to be honest. So ive gone 2 pay days gamble free. And like I said money actually has a meaning to me now not just a credit on a screen. I have even treated myself this month which to be honest I haven't really done this in a hell of a long time as in the past all my money would go on gambling. Funny thought how I could spend thousands on gambling and it wouldn't really bother me but have spent £100 on treating myself this month and I worry that ive wasted my money :-S just doesn't make sense really. But the fight is still going strong. Here is to another gamble free weekend

Congratulations on a great acheivement! 9 weeks gamble free is quite amazing when you consider you have had 2 paydays. I may start writing how many hours gamble free I am because it would usually only take me an hour to lose my deposited cash, but it was just as you said earlier in your diary... a number on a screen. Keep it up, and look forward to your hols! x

10weeks gamble free - life seems to be a lot better, debts are slowing getting paid. But the biggest change has got to be is me, I am a lot happier like the person I was before I started gambling. No urges at all recently, also don't think about gambling much anymore. Where before it would be on my mind constantly. Here's to another gamble free weekend 🙂

Haven't posted much lately, lifes been abit mad the past 2weeks. A close friend lost his daughter in such a tragic and awful way week and half ago, she was only 19. Really made me realise a lot to be honest and how you have to enjoy life and live it to the full. Im 12weeks gamble free friday, not bothered about the counting anymore as I feel I have changed and do not even want to gamble anymore. It was hard to begin with but now things are getting a lot easier day by day you just need to stick at it.

Hi J100

So sorry to hear about your friend's daughter. It's terrible when something like that happens and it does make you reflect on your own life and what you do with it.

It looks like you are heading in the right direction and getting back on your feet.

Take care and keep going! x

Hi J100

Pleased to see that you are still doing well. £4000 - that's impressive! I bet (not a good word!) it feels better to have that amount that you have earned yourself rather than having won it.

I'm doing ok. No gambling for a long time and no real urges which feels good. Starting to really see the benefits.

Take care x
