100 days!!!!! Feeling 100 times better than I was 99 days ago. Onwards and upwards!!
Fantastic NM, what a milestone! I just read a bit of your diary, not sure what the court date is for but don't let it put you off your stride - stress and gambling go hand in hand with us compulsive gamblers. You've done brilliantly so far, and I look forward to seeing you rack up the next 100!

Welcome to the century club a great achievement and can certainly agree how better we feel the further we get from that last bet.

Well done on your accumulation of days. Sounds like your doing really well on your road to recovery.
All the best.

119 days gamble free today. I have my court date for 16th November which left me feeling a bit low but at least it will be over and done with. Getting on top of my finances slowly but surely which is good in case the worst happens at court. For anybody reading this diary on their first day, stay on here the support from other members is massive and cannot be underestimated. Secondly if you are in the Staffordshire or Shropshire area make use of the counselling offered for free by gamcare. Shirley from Impact has been amazing and a massive source of support through my darkest times. Anyway I am nearly a third of a year gamble free and always keep this thought close to my heart. Think of your loved ones, mum, dad, son, wife, brother or even close friends. Think of how much you love them, cherish them etc. Then think of the value of your next bet. If it is higher than how much you love these people then go and bet!! If you love these people more then move on and do not gamble. You will eventually lose these people through gambling as you become liars, cheats, distant and moody. I will never risk losing these people again for the spin of a wheel. I will not win as I will not stop.
Well done on those days love...
And good luck in court...hope it goes as well as it can...be proud you've stood tall and are facing it head on....with your wife and family...well done x
125 days today.
157 days gamble free. In court on 16th November, hopefully the 1st day of a new life and I an finally brush this under the carpet.
To all that are starting the journey, use this site, make use of the counselling they really are superb tools.
Good luck everyone.
187 days, over 6 months and no gambling. Been having some thoughts of gambling, not urges, I think my brain can now deal with the thoughts and processes them in the correct way, ie f**k OFF.
Still going to the gamcare counselling and finally with the help of Mrs NM2185 have refinanced all my bad debt into an affordable loan, all in my name so not a bail out and she still controls the finances which makes it a lot easier for me to manage.
Sentencing in the new year, hopefully avoid prison but what will be will be.
Can't wait for Xmas with the little ones, they have been spoilt rotten but could not have spent my money better.
I won't win as I can't stop.
200 days gamble free.
Nm2185 just read your diary, respect for the way you are turning things around and staying GF, changing what is in your power to change, and accepting what isn't. Enjoy Christmas with your little ones, it's a precious time.
Well done on all your gf days and the changes you have made, I sincerely hope the courts go easy on you and can see how you have changed. Have a lovely xmas with your family x
222 days since I last gambled.
Sentencing hearing tomorrow, been feeling pretty down all week knowing it was coming.
Fearing the worst but hoping for the best.
I won't win as I won't stop.
8 months suspended sentence and 150 hours community service. That was the scariest thing I have been through in a while, the final nail in my gambling coffin.
