The only time i think about it now is to come on here.
Amazing difference in my standard of living. Finances improving, lots of spare time for the kids and wife. Days out, holidays, little treats all of which i took for granted in my gambling days.
Good luck to those starting their journey, its tough but the benifits are overwhelming.
Advice i would give is to be honest with yourself and anyone willing to listen. Take advantage of everything gamcare offers, counselling, forums chatrooms etc and finally start to enjoy life, its well worth it.

Blocks remain in place even though i have no thoughts of gambling at the moment.
Getting busy at work again after holidays, enjoyed a nice week in Ibiza although was hectic with a 5 and 1 year old. Weekend in Lisbon next weekend.
Community service is complete and my suspended sentence, just 4 years to wait until it becomes a spent conviction. On the plus side gives me 4 years to save for a deposit for a mortgage.
Another plus is finances are improving quickly, in 2 months a default that was caused by gambling will drop off my credit report. The last negative on there.
Onwards and upwards, i cannot win as i cannot stop.
