Day 13

Haven't posted in here for a week or so... Sometimes I just don't know what to write! And sometimes I'm just non stop out in my taxi trying to scrape every penny back I can....

So I haven't been near a bookies nor placed a bet in 2 weeks tomorrow, but the last 2 days have been really hard with urges, the £10 won't do any harm thoughts really strong!

I'm just starting to come to terms with how hard this battle is going to be, the bit I find hardest is the lifetime aspect, a lifetime of keeping away from something I love doing more than anything in life, that is readily available on every street corner I walk or drive down, I've noticed a huge hole missing from my day to day life the last couple of days, sitting there while people are having a normal conversation with me feels a bit awkward/weird as I'm now taking notice to what they are actually saying because part of my brain is not somewhere else it normally is.... So I feel a bit uncomfortable if that makes any sense.

Got to keep going and fighting on as I have no choice any more, it's make or break for me now, and I have people relying on me... So my next urge is always the next scrap I'm ready for!

Change I have been reading your diary and you come across as a very strong individual and I have faith in you that you will beat this, just stay strong and positive like you have been and things will start to fall into place for you my friend, thanks for the support pal!!!

Dave and Suzanne you 2 are very special people, and have been there with your unbelievable support since day 1 and I can't thank you enough, great to see you both excelling in your constant fight with this, you are both a true inspiration for anybody joining this site, thank you again!

Thanks Carl that means a lot. Well done thus far but you gotta keep going. It's tough to see a lifetime of no gambling but the majority of people don't gamble so we can do it!

See so much of myself in you Carl n feel I can relate to you more than anyone else on here as we are in the same boat. It's impossible to restrict the cash in your pocket many a time gone home with nothing after wasting takings on the way home.

Also very similar feelings of not seeing a future without a bet especially in the early days stick at it though mate you can get past it I hardly ever give it even a seconds thought nowadays.
